Unbeatable beach in Mexico
We need a relaxing vacation after a very busy year. The beach was outstanding. Service was perfect, very friendly and very well trained, could be not better. This is the best hotel in Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

The food was in all restaurants excellent. I only had 2 not special experience at the Himitsu Restaurant with the Thai soups - very plain and far away from the original soups. The Teppanyaki tables were not good and I never would go back. I spend many times in Japan and they need a lot of training with preparing good food. At the Bordeaux - French Restaurant - the Pork Tenderloin was not eatable. Is was hard like leather. But all the other dishes were superb. We were very happy with all other restaurants with the menus and taste. I only can recommended this hotel. Great job!!!!! No problem with the Swine flu. Too much panic in the media.

Maroma Review-Riviera Cancun
The hotel was great and the staff was wonderful. It would have been even better if we could have ordered room service from any of the available restaurants. The room was awesome with the exception of the water closet. i thought it could have been a little more private. I dont have anything bad to say other than I wish we could have stayed longer. I will go back to this resort.

Wonderful Resort
The best Mexico resort I have ever visited. The beach was awesome....clear warm waters and white sand. The staff was so friendly and was there every time you needed something, if not more. The staff was enjoying themselves which made the experience that much nicer. The beach service was great and they had food ready for lunch on the beach. The dinning and restaurants were great and we never had a bad meal.

We enjoyed the first class treatment from the Staff that was spread throughout the resort. I cannot remember when I have had better service than the service we received at Secrets.

They thought of everything!
We have stayed many places in our lives, but we have to rate Secrets Maroma Beach as one of the best! We could do as much or as little as we liked. We went sailing on the hotel furnished (no extra charge) sailboats. Did a snorkle trip. Went to two shows - one not so funny comedian and one great "American Idol" show. They thought of everything at Maroma Beach. I was surprised to see a book cart full of paperbacks by the pool bar in case you forgot your book. Everything was "It's my pleasure" from the waitstaff. The only thing I was embarassed by was a group from Texas who were foul mouthed, drunk, and noisy. Think "Ernest goes to Cancun"! We are from Texas and believe me, they are not the norm! If you saw them - disregard where they came from! The food is solid but not what you will rave about. The breakfast buffet was the best. We will be going back and taking our adult children and their significant others.

We took a transport from the airport and made several stops to let others off. The driver got lost looking for Secrets (it's very new). On the return trip, we paid an extra $30.00 and got a private taxi that turned out to be a new Mercedes. A much better way to travel.

World Traveler Married Right 2nd Time
Honeymoon in Heaven
From the start to the finish, ALL the staff was absolutely unbelievable! We had a swim-out first floor jacuzzi suite with every detail already thought out. The entire resort layout was perfect, each building had its own concierge, ours in building 24 "M" was born for the job! For five days, no one ever told us "no" to any request we had, even staff cleaning our room. We took the scuba lessons and then dove at the reef offshore from our beach in 35 feet of water, it was an adventure in blue water, waves, and even a blowfish. The Oceania restaurant by the pool had a nice, quiet, romantic atmosphere for couples, and we ate there twice for dinner. We also opted for a romantic dinner on the beach our last night here. The breeze coming off of the Carribean, our feet in the sand, and comida by tiki torch light was a memory both my wife and I won't forget. I won't spoil any surprises for anyone, but the hotel staff had a special treat waiting for us when we came back to our suite. Some of the different restaurants at the resort have menus with one or two similar items, but overall the food was very good and varied. At the Portafina, the Italian restaurant, we had a side table with curtains that gave us a very private, secluded dining experience. The poolside grill from 1130 to 1600 served up varied grilled items, was good and convenient. The swim-up bar was a good place to hang-out and visit with new friends during an afternoon 5 minute shower. The pool area had plenty of lounges, chairs, umbrellas, rafts, staff, and staff handing our samples of various freshly prepared foods.

Although this is an all-inclusive resort, I would recommend having money available to tip for dinner and drinks during the day. The service you receive from the staff DOES NOT depend on whether you tip them or not - it is excellent either way! You will WANT to give these people money as they are working non-stop to make sure you are having a wonderful meal, afternoon at the beach, or need water.

Pure Relaxation
The service was unbelievable, the staff was friendly and very attentive but not annoying. The rooms were very nice and clean the food was good not great but you don't go to Mexico for the food! The all inclusive package was so nice there was nothing to worry about...it was a vacation that one gets to do "NOTHING" lay on the beach, by the pool and get served booze and MANGO Tangos till you cannot drink anymore

unbelievable vacation
The staff was great.I cant see how any one could complain about anything,they treat you like royalty.the location and scenery was breathtaking. the beach was unbelevable, the water was warm.the service and the food was all great. If you like to snorkle (I recomend it) go to the other side of the point there is a sail boat there that is capitan memo for 80 dollars he will take you and your wife on the best private snorkle trip in the world

First watch out for time share salesmen at the airport,and dont book any activities with orbits you will get a better deal when you get there and orbits was the biggest pain in my neck.
