It is the best in Nepal yes but
It is the best in Nepal yes but if you compare this hotel with other hotels in other countries this will not be 5 star hotel. Monkeys will not let you sleep in the night since the roof are made from wood or some other materials like the wood and they will start fighting in the night. The hotel is quit and far away from the city it will cost around 10USD to take you to the main town.

Gokarna Forest Resort- Kathmandu, Nepal
Hotel is near the city, but with the forest surrounding it, you do not hear any of the city at all. Monkeys, peacocks, deer and other wildlife are freely roaming the grounds. The golf course was immaculate. The spa was wonderful and relaxing. Rooms are very large as are the bathrooms. Room service 24 hours a day.

We stayed in Gorkana for 3 days
We stayed in Gorkana for 3 days in January 2011 and the facilities were excellent and the people were very friendly. I am confident that anyone visiting Kathmandu will enjoy staying there than most other hotels.

Great walks, 1,2,3,4 hour with guard escorts. Spacious with excellent restaurants. Some of Little Budda was filmed there. Free yoga session in the morning

JCall ahead to hotel and arrange a pickup, Gokarna will charge approximately 13 dollars to hotel bill. Also don't change money right inside Nepal airport unless it is official. There was a booth and changed only 60 dollars but was given part of my money back in Thai currency. Not knowing what rupees looked like I didn't check. So, check the money you get back. also although u can get visa for Nepal at the border the line was very long. Getting a visa from NY office of Neoal Embassy
