Fantastic Location for the Price
Outstanding claszic hotel in the best location in Amsterdam and at a VERY reasonablr price! I WOULD definitely stay there again and recommend to my friends.

Buy an unlimited electric tram ticket for 24, 48, or 72 hours and travel all over the city. Four or five routes went through Dam Square.

Fantastic Dam location
Convenient to train station and public transportation. Dam Square a focal point in Amsterdam. Beautifully appointed rooms with robes and slippers for guests.

Great location, convenient to everything
Room was spacious. We asked for an upgraded room (better view) for 55 Euros, but were given the upgrade for free.

We used the Hop On, Hop Off tour boat that starts on the East and West ends of the Central Station. For 22 Euros a person, you can ride for 24 hours and get off at any of the stops on the four routes that go everywhere.

Great Location. but could do with update
this was our second time to stay at this hotel. great location,but could do with updating the roooms , we upgraded to front room to have better view of dam square.but could not put on the airconditioning as the smell of surage coming from outside was awful. they need to get this problem solved. but after seeing some of the hotels around the area. this was a gr8 hotel. staff very friendly and helpful. over all good hotel

Perfect location
The hotel is right in the center of things, yet the room was spacious and quiet. The concierge was very helpful. The only problem was that we could not regulate the water temperature in the shower which made showering unpleasant.

Location Location Plus Fabulous
Staying at the Kras made for a much better experience than previously because being on Dam Square was fabulous.I could be right there in the middle of everything and go back to the room whenever.The room was large which is impossible to find in Amsterdam.The place is amazing but i did not spend the money on the restaurants and all else they had available.I would not want to stay at any other place there.[...]
