The Hotel van Walsum is situated on the tree-lined Mathenesserlaan in Rotterdam. Although located in the centre of this lively city, it also enjoys a surprising level of peace and tranquillity. Our distinctive hotel combines its homely Dutch athmosphere with all the modern facilities. We have a lift, restaurant, a pleasant lounge, as well as a peaceful garden at the back, complete with terrace - and naturally all rooms are well-appointed to meet all your needs. Decent location, but that's about it

10 minutes walk to the center of Rotterdam, average hotel with ok value for money. Good choice for a short stay close to the heart of the city. Parking is offered at a cost in a separate location, some 100 meters back on the same street at Mathenesserlaan 177. Be aware that if you have a large car entering the parking will be quite challenging.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Wester Paviljoen is very close, and you can have a decent dining there. The menu is not very extensive, but the location is very convenient, nice atmosphere with mostly young urban patrons - and serving is quick.

Comfortable and convenient

This hotel was in a good location for our visit and close to the Central Train Station. The included breakfast was first-rate. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay at the Van Walsum again.
