The Quadrant Hotel Auckland

Room was modern but small and we felt cramped. The balcony was also very small and overlooked the back of the hotel. There was a lot of traffic noise from our window. We requested a room on the higher level floors which had a view over Auckland Harbour but this could not be accommodated.

We were disappointed by the lack of facilities for cooking. There was no microwave and insufficient saucepans to cook up a meal. The apartment was clean, but the lounge area was tiny.

Great place for a few nights stay.

A typical city hotel within walking distance of the city itself. The valet car parking was efiicient but a bit expensive. On arrival it was also possible to end up in the car park of the adjacent hotel which was a costly mistake.

Good hotel to stay close to the city. Parking a hassle as can only get valet parking 15min before you need your car. No microwave which is quite annoying.

Room good and quiet and breakfast was very good but these were annoying: * Flickering bedside light * Sticky patch on carpet * Shower head covered in soap * Cannot use phone from bed due to short cable

Would surely stay again. The service was friendly, but we had to wait a few hours for our room to be ready. We were provided with free drinks at the bar, although they did forget to bring our bags up to our room. The facilities, such as the bar are very small and there isn't a great deal of staff in these areas for service. But the rooms were clean, the kitchenette was used every day and the view of the harbor was spectacular at night. The bed was extremely comfortable and was in a good location - close enough to the CBD to walk but far enough away to escape to noise. A great price and well worth it.

Well presented hotel in a good location. Bathrooms are too small and nowhere to put anything!! Tables with holes in them are not very practical - put your coffee cup in the wrong place and over it goes. Need glass tops.

Nice, clean but incredibly tiny room and bathroom. Bad lighting in bathroom for make-up.

Too noisy, backpackers, university housing nearby and the guests at the hotel were having parties until the small hours of the morning. This went on most nights of our 11 day stay. We tolerated this for 10 nights but on complaint to the manager, the receptionist told me " it was a Saturday night and we should expect that!". Sorry, no way, at 10 or 11pm the gym should be shut and the hotel and balconoies checked and policed for undue noise. Some people like to sleep or have an extremely early plane to catch.
