Sudima Christchurch Airport

Rooms didnt have AC. Didnt realize that a basic amenity available at almost all the hotels listed on here, was missing at this particular Property. Front desk staff lacked knowledge of surroundings that is they gave us wrong info for rental car returns after we checked in late and wanted to get a head start in the early morning for flight out of CHC.

Stayed here due to proximity to airport and we were arriving into Christchurch on late night flight. Hotel was a 5 minute walk from the baggage carousel/customs area. Perfect! There is also a shuttle if you need it. However, for the price paid, the amenities werent that amazing. Room was well decked out though and there was a pool in the courtyard. Didnt hear any planes so well constructed.

I have been staying at this hotel (although not always this management) since 1986 during ten trips to the ice. My first choice when I pass through NZ enroute to / from the ice.

The one plus that the hotel has is how close it is to the airport; sadly that is it. Everything about the hotel is very basic, especially the attitude of the staff. The receptionist who checked us in could not grasp the concept that we didn't have a credit card - that meant an extra half an hour hanging around in reception at 2 in the morning! When we checked out at 1055 the next morning, a receptionist insisted (surly at best) that check-out was 1000 sharp, even though it clearly stated 1100 on our booking sheet. Would we stay there again or recommend to others? Unfortunately, no.

Very friendly staff. Shuttle driver was especially helpful in orienting us to Christchurch and what might be available for the few hours we had on the only day we were there.

Ideal location for anyone using Christchurch International Airport. Not ostentatious but more than adequate for a stopover and reasonably priced for the facilities and service available

This is a wonderful location for anyone travelling to Christchurch airport. The (free) suhttlevan wasn't available when I was ready to leave, so I walked to the airport, and that took maybe 5minutes. That was good. The room I was put in this time was pretty tired and very dark, not as nice as the ones I have stayed in previously (I was in a different wing than I have been in before). I was also a bit troubled to find many long black hairs across the bathroom (I have very short brown hair). So.... I do wonder about cleanliness. I'll probably stay again because of the location!

We had an early flight out of NZ and then a late arrival back into the country. 24 hour shuttle service, front desk service and food availability meant we were catered for very well even when we were very tired and hungry. Rooms basic but this is the sort of place you stay when needing somewhere to stop on the way to somewhere else. Had a breakfast (nice range of choices and an excellent buffet). Dinner had lot choices, tasty and well presented. Staff very helpful.
