Affordable accommodation in Taupo, only walking distance away from Lake Taupo and Taupo City. Perfect for school groups sport groups and the independent traveller on a budget. The hotel is under new Management. Cheap, clean and affordable accommodation, Silver Fern Lodge is situated in a quiet location on the edge of Taupo Central Business District, within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and bars, RSA, Cosmopolitan Club, supermarkets and Event Centre. Close to Golf Courses, heated pools, Bungee etc. Ski drying room, living area with fireplace, Sky TV, Pool table, dining area, food lockers, fully equipped shared kitchen, underground parking, 24 hours security, bike cage and of course - great hosts! What the hotel has on offer: Shared fully equipped kitchen with dining area, Complimentary Tea & Coffee, All Units are non-smoking, Studio Family Units, Executive Studios with Balcony & views, 8 Dorm Rooms (sleep 5 guests each), Sky Digital TV and DVD Player, Shared lounge, fireplace, pool table, books, Email Cafe, Guest Laundry, Guest BBQ, Tour Desk, Easy off street parking for cars, trailers & boats, Secure parking for bicycles and motor cycles, Undercover Parking with security cameras, Food lockers, Drink Machine, Snack Bar in Reception, Charge back to local Taupo Restaurants, Ski drying Room and Luggage storage. Nice people, decent place

Room was exactly as advertised and wasn't too bad. The 2 owners were nice and very helpful in finding local things to do. Has a kitchen which came in handy to cook breakfast and dinner.
