Great comfort but no AC

This is a really comfortable apartment hotel. But no AC ? Even in November room was stuffy and too warm. Suggest avoid it in summer months.

OK

Trouble with key entry (two doors) to open with key card. Reset the keys twice, no further help from staff, manager never turned up as promised. Vague broken promises, no action, no follow up. I had to stuff the latch of the outer door full of paper as a work around. Balcony not private, open access across at least 3 rooms through sliding doors,

Good place, good location in Wellington

Very clean, very modern 1-bedroom apartment in a good area of town, close to Courtenay Place and all the restaurants there. 90% of Wellington is walkable, and this hotel will leave you close to most of it. Front desk staff was very friendly, and very helpful. Close to Moore Wilsons (upscale grocery store, like Whole Foods but with more selection), coffee, restaurants, bars. Shower was great, washing/drying machine was in the room (but we had some issues with it running for hours for a wash cycle) and cleaned the clothes. Paid NZ$30 for 72 hours of internet access - have no idea if this is a reasonable price. There is free wifi available in the Central Business district, but this hotel is 2-3 blocks south of that free wi-fi zone. Parking was NZ$20/day, and we found that based on the size of the city, bus routes, taxis, and the hotel location, renting a car isn't necessary. The hotel has a deal with one local taxi company for NZ$20 airport runs (metered, it's about NZ$30). Ask for it. Overall, we'd stay there again.

Fab location. Good size studio. Staff average, and room too hot.

I booked this hotel due to its location and car parking for $20 (park yourself, no valet). Stayed in a studio, which was nice and large. Larger than your typical hotel room. Full kitchen. Large bathroom with a bath (nice!). However the shower head was loose and you had to hold the shower head itself to get under it/wash hair/get wet at all. I reported this to reception who said they would fix it. It wasn't fixed. When I checked out I mentioned it again. All I got was 'oh, sorry'. No genuine apology. Oh and room was HOT. If opened balcony, it was too noisy-difficult.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

After 6pm parking is free on the street. Or if you are not taking your car out overnight, it is only $3 in the building the hotel parks in. $9 if in before 10am and out between 2pm and 7pm - great if you aren't actually using the car during the day. And cheaper than the hotel rate!!!

When we arrive, staff was not very helpfull. I had to ask for parking and I was informed there is a Wilson carpark at $20 per day. I almost paid $400 a night for a room and the I have to pay another $20 per night? Then another staff member informed me that using your room key, you can access the car park without any cost. I will not use that hotel again.

Interesting hotel

This was a pretty good hotel, but a couple of oddities. Hotel lobby and room are both very modern, with glass and steel furnishings and looks very smart. However, it is set up rather awkwardly, only one person seating for the TV, which is locked on a wall, won't swivel. The furnishings don't physically fit in very well, a little tight. Parking very convenient, staff were helpful and friendly, giving us tips on avoiding parking charges and gave us good directions around the city, and we liked the place overall. It could be a 5 star hotel with a few relatively minor changes.

Don't miss Te Papa; it's a great museum with a lot of interactivity, especially for families with kids.
