Very Friendly Staff
The Dusit is a nice hotel and is in a great location. I will stay in this hotel next time I am in Manila. I would not call this a 5 star hotel but it is very nice.

Super friendly staff, excellent breakfast and great location!
Decent hotel in great location. The staff are truly amazing and make you so feel welcome. From the concierge, to restaurant servers, the elevator greeters, housekeeping and outside security as well! Can't say enough about that! Superb hands down!! The buffet breakfast is great as well; much variety. The rooms are clean but a bit dated for a 4 star experience. That was perhaps a little bit of a disappointment, but overall great value and good location. Everything is in walking distance. Movie theaters, Greenbelt, Glorietta and Landmark shopping malls to name a few. A short taxi ride to SM Mall of Asia as well. Makati is the place to be! This was first for us, when the hotel calls a taxi for you they record the taxi operator's name and license and provide you with your own record, in the event you lose something, or the taxi ride is less than stellar. They can follow up accordingly.

Expected more for the price
The shower head was spraying in every direction, and it would not stay in the holster properly. I had to hold the shower head in order to get the shower head to aim at me.

Greenbelt 2 shopping mall had many nice indoor/outdoor restaurants with great music and entertainment. 20 min walk thru the mall or a 5 min cab ride.

Very good except one incident. I wanted to cancel my extra day of the booking. I was informed that I must contact the agency My concern was that I had no phone service and spotty Internet. So I went to the hotel manager if you could help get in touch with ,she didn't listen to my question . Her answer was I had to get in touch with the agency but I asked her for assistance with this issue. Sad the hotel was a wonderful experience. I would go there in the future.

Great quality. Not exceptional for a 5 star.
We had a great room on the 11th floor with a view of the city. Single pane glass means even this high up you can still hear all the traffic. What I find annoyingly interesting about most premier hotels is that all the little extras are many times their street value. An 80 cent chocolate bar is $5.00. A true 5 star should try not fleecing guests once they've already paid top dollar to stay with them. However, all 5 stars I've stayed all fleece guests for any extras.

Great hotel for business trip
I was in Manila for a week long business trip in late August. I had to work all over greater metro Manila. This hotel is in a great location. Central to everything via taxi or metro or walking if around town. Through this website, I upgraded to a Club Level room. This was well worth the small extra charge. It included free breakfast at 2 of the hotel's 5 restaurants, free WIFI (huge in my book), and complimentary happy hour in the lounge. The food was great at all of the restaurants, except the Thai restaurant was a little lacking. The pool area and gym were perfect for daily exercise. I really enjoyed my stay here. I am recommending to my employer for all of our staff to stay at when we return.

Not Staying at Dusit
Not Even Close to 5 Stars
Smallest bathroom that I have ever seen in a "5 Start" hotel and the bathtub drain didn't work. The hotel lobby is uncomfortably hot at night because they turn the AC off. I would think they could afford to keep it on considernig how much they charged. Laundry prices were rediculous. The club lounge was very weak and not worth the extra $. I have stayed at the Pan Pacific before, and while it may not be the ideal location, it is a 5 Star Hotel that cost less than the 1 Star Dusit.

Dusit Review
This is my fourth stay at the Dusit in the last 10 years. My wife and I were at the Dusit for 2 weeks in April 2012 and as always had a great stay. The staff work hard at being accommodating, the hotel is located beside a mall and easy walking distance to the Greenbelt shopping experience. The hotel has an outstanding breakfast and Dfit fitness center is very nice looking out on the pool. Security is good and we always felt safe.
