Boutique hotel within Lisbon's historic castle walls
The Solar Do Castelo is a good example of how the residents of Lisbon have maintained the detail and history of the city. The stylish Solar Do Castelo is a home-away-from-home, with all of the special touches of an opulent hotel. Perfect Valentine's stay

To keep it brief, this is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff were extremely attentive, the breakfast was excellent, the ambiance was fantastic. This is the perfect boutique hotel for a romantic getaway.

It's a bit of an uphill trek to get to the hotel, so keep in mind that it's only a 3 euro cab fare from Rossio square. Useful after a long day of sightseeing!

Old Lisbon boutique hotel

Nice, small hotel. Quiet...except for the peacocks! Impossible to get to by car! Tough location even to get to by walking.

The liitle Gem of Lisbon

The location is great. Our room had a great view of the water and the castle. The staff is phenomenal. So friendly, accomodating and helpful. When IBERIA went on strike they made arrangements to get us home. Lovely quaint old part of the city. #1 in our book.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Conquistador just outside the castel gate is only 2 minutes away and had really good authentic food. Service was excellent and prices very reasonable.

Hôtel sympa

Un peu difficile d'accès et pas très bien indiqué dans le quartier. Chambre confortable, bien que peu spacieuse et insuffisamment éclairée (chambre 14) Très bonne literie et hôtel calme.

Meilleur achat

Nous étions dans la chambre 1. Superbe emplacement, adossé au château Saint-Georges. L'hôtel dispose d'un joli patio où viennent des paons magnifiques. Le personnel est d'une grande gentillesse, avec de grands sourires en prime ! Une chambre très propre, joliment décorée !

emplacement idéal

emplacement idéal au cœur d'un quartier charmant, accolé au château St Georges. à 10 minutes à pied des principales "attractions" par des chemins sympas. un peu cher finalement au regard de la prestatation, bonne mais pas excellente pour un 4 étoiles

WE prolongé

Très agréable séjour dans l'enceinte du château St Georges dans les vieilles pierres de ce superbe hôtel où on petit-déjeune sur la terrasse près de la fontaine avec les paons du château juste à côté... La visite du mini musée dans l'ancienne citerne est originale et intéressante. Le personnel est très sympathique et très serviable. Il faut juste bien penser à prendre de bonnes chaussures : ça monte pour arriver à l'hôtel :-)
