Great location and staff

Very good value for the price. Hotel is located close to a supermercado, the metro, as well as bus stops and a handful of good pastelaria's (Highly rec Tim Tims just up the street - great service, pastries, as well as seeming to be the choice of locals). It might be out of the "central" area of downtown but that makes it quieter and with less of the tourist trappings (folks trying to sell you knockoff sunglasses and/or hash, etc.). Room was very clean and orderly. It is simple and could be considered somewhat small, but if you're going all the way to Lisbon just to stay in your room you might want to reevaluate your reasons for travelling - the room definitely have all you need. Staff was very nice and helpful. Printed out timetables/rates for busses and trains as well as helped us find everywhere we wanted to go. Couldn't have asked for more!

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

A Corte Ingles is just northeast of the hotel and they have all you should need to stock up on or to replace anything you might have forgotten. Contains a supermercado (supermarket with all types of food and a nice place to get good priced chocolates and such to bring home for gifts...or yourself!) as well as a pastry shop and plenty of food options (soup and salad spot, deli, coffee, etc.). Also has multiple levels of higher end clothing for guys and gals.

Central for all needs

We were visiting Lisbon for sightseeing and football. The accomodation was perfect being less than 2 minutes from the excellent Metro as well as various bus routes. The hotel is very new and is being kept immaculate. The staff are brilliant as is expected from the Portuguese. The breakfast was a superb combination of many continentals e.g. breads, cakes, fruits, yoghurts, teas and coffees, cereals as well as others to order. Although we had small "gripes" e.g. tiny lifts, it would be easy to let that spoil a hotel that is highly recommended

Chose one of the hundreds of tiny restaurants that serve good, honest, local food at prices that seem to come from last century! These can be found in the jazz quarter as well as amongst the many side streets.

Good value

Clean room, nothing special in way of facilities but quite OK. Quite well situated in Lisbon. Friendly staff. As I often find to be the case, no bran cereal at breakfast, but otherwise good. Had a dinner there once which was so-so - quite nice food but the house wine was not good.

Good value clean hotel

The hotel and it's staff certainly ticks all the right boxes. Unfortunately, although it is situated in a fairly central location, there are no restaurants or bars in the immediate vicinity.

The Bull Ring houses a food court with a huge variety of excellent food outlets and there is also a bar. All bars and restaurants have smoking sections.

NIce hotel, good location

We booked 5 nights 10th Feb to 15th Feb 12; hotel is in a good location not far from airport or city centre. We were on the 9th floor our room was quite large and furnished appropriately and clear. Bathroom was large and very clean too. Hotel staff were helpful and front desk staff speak English, so don’t be afraid to ask. Room for improvement: Food – in my opinion poor choice/quality, we paid 12 Euros each for Lasagne, which to our disappointment was microwaved, flat to the plate!! Salad or chips (fries) not included. Breakfast was repetitive, but acceptable, bread, cakes, cheese, ham. The scramble eggs, hot dogs and bacon, was always cold, I did mention this, but to no avail. Tea/Coffee making - only tea in room, they do not provide milk. I would suggest buying your own Tea Coffee, Milk, supermarket 2 minutes walk from hotel and reasonably priced. TV - BBC world only English channel with a bad reception. Free wifi in hotel, but they will charge you to use their Computer/Business centre, which is extremely slow so costs. In spite of this, overall we had a good stay. :-)

Metro card is 50 cents, top up 5 Euros for 24 hours, excellent for getting around on bus, metro and tram. Go with change and don’t bother asking the women in the booth to help she won’t. Campo Pequeno (Bull Ring) for takeout food, which is around the corner from hotel. Staff will point you in the right direction. 91 aerobus from airport, 2 stops cost 3 Euros 50 cents (Ave da Republicia) hotel is around the corner, 5 minutes walk. Taxi 10 to 15 Euros so I'm told. Supermarket - three streets down from hotel - left from hotel on right side of the road. Attractions: The Tower in the city centre, costs 5 Euros to go up, in my opinion this is a rip off. Walk up the stairs, take the left, walk to bottom of the street, then take the right walk a few feet up, entrance on left, and its free, unless you want to go one floor higher the lift is for you. There a pizza place one floor 1 closes 3pm.

Perfect quality for reasonable money

Located near the Campo Puqueno metro station, not far from airport. Ride to downtown takes about 10min with traffic. Rooms are clean, comfortable, staff is very polite. Altough breakfasts are the same every day, there is a wide choice and food is good enough. We with my young wife were very satisfied choosing this place for our honey moon.

Great location for city visit

Just two steps away from Campo Pequeno, great for corida lovers. Easy acces to metro network, close to Gulbekian museum. Many nice restaurants in vicinity, within walking distance to El Corte Ingles, great for shopping.
