claustrophobic rooms, the worst service
First, they refused to check us in until 3 PM, even though the reservation stated that check in would be 2 PM. The room was tiny and AC didn't work, so they moved us to another one. They refused to give us safe keys because the person with all safe keys was unavailable. The sign "room is ready for cleanup" was ignored for 6 hours until we came back and no longer wanted an intrusion. Hotel pool did not have clean towel available two out of three days. etc etc etc

3 star hotel, incompetent manager
i do not recommend this hotel. although it is very centric, it is not really a 4 star hotel. perhaps 20 years ago; now it is more a 3 star hotel. so lower your expectations from the very beginning. since it is so old, you are bound to have problems. the first night i had to move all my luggage to another room because the air conditioning did not work. in the new room there was a short circuit because the wiring system is so old, and i had to move again to another room. the problem was that the power converter of my mac book pro was damage as a consequence, and even after searching all lisboa for half a day, i was told that this power converter was not on sale in portugal. therefore, i was without my personal computer for the remainder of my trip! the manager refused in a very cowardly way to compensate me (she suggested that there was a power outage in all lisbon!!!). so you should know that in a hotel this old, there can be issues that will not be fixed -- avoid it at all costs!

Okay hotel, GREAT location.
Hotel is nothing special but you cannot beat its location. The staff I dealt with was helpful but a lot of times didn't have correct information on the city. For the money this was a worth stay for our small group of friends we had.

Mytime
It was exactly right, ticked all my boxes, staff were so helpful and it was close to bus, metro and train station. Breakfast on The Terrace (on roof) was wonderful and gave panoramic views of Lisbon. Deserves another visit.

Loved this hotel and location!
This was one of the highlights of our trip as far as a hotel can be. It is located right in the heart of where any tourist could possibly want to be in Lisbon. Everything is in walking distance, or the bus and metro are just outside the door. The staff was very accomodating as we didn't like the view of a wall from our room, and they changed it with no problems. The only warning we have is when you go look for dinner on the nearby streets, it is like being assaulted by used car salesmen trying to corral you with their menus. (This has nothing to do with the hotel.)

Very central location and fabulous
Very central location and fabulous views from roof terrace and VERY quiet considering central city location. Rooms a little sparse for the star rating . Breakfast not high quality but not expensive but worth the start to the day just for the view. Pool makes it very attractive hotel but too cold for me!Beware pick pockets and bag snatchers who operate near hotel. Safe in hotel room. Pay safe deposit via credit card not cash. You will get your credit card receipt back!

I recommend this hotel for people
I recommend this hotel for people visiting Lisbon for the first time because of the central location. However, the hotel A/C broke down during a very hot season, so we had to keep the windows open for three days and could hardly sleep because of the sounds from the street (with closed windows no such problem). The bed wasn't very comfortable: a small double bed, a double blanket and a hard mattress. There are also rooms with twin beds, so it would be nice if one could choose this option by booking the room. Now it wasn't possible. The hotel provides shampoo but no conditioner. On my third visit to Lisbon I will choose some other hotel.
