Great hotel and location. Best breakfast ever. Staff could not have been more helpful. Guest services helped us daily with tour descriptions and bookings and restaurant bookings and recommendations. Only complaint was size of hotel pool, However view from 19th floor of Table Mountain was gorgeous.

Fantastic Overall
There were nice robes and slippers in the room. The beds were comfortable. I use the gym- it was great considering it was in a hotel- clean and with towels, and you can even rent sneakers pretty inexpensively during your stay. There's a great view up there too! The breakfast was great every day. There isn't really much to do in the area, but sine there is a shuttle that takes you to the waterfront every half hour, it doesn't even matter. The staff was incredible- so friendly and accommodating. It felt like they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I used the travel desk to book all of my excursions for the Townships, Sharks, Cape Point and Vineyards, and asking for recommendations for restaurants- they had great suggestions. You really can't beat this hotel for the price!!

This is a solid four star hotel with almost all good points.
Here are the good points: Location. It is right next to the convention center. Room on the Executive Floor. The room itself is four star quality but mine did not have floor to ceiling windows as advertised, there is a great breakfast served in a room on the executive floor but after breakfast this room becomes a restaurant for the public. In other hotels where you stay on an executive or club floor there is a room where you can lounge during the day and have cocktails in the evening, not so here, however knowing that I would stay on the executive floor again. Complementary wifi. Other hotels in Cape Town charge an extraordinary fee for wifi access so this is a definite plus. Service: courteous and never ending, I needed an electrical plug adapter and the front clerk personally a brought one to my room immediately. Food costs for eating and drinks in the hotel were very reasonable. Across the street from the "hop on hop off" bus which has two routes and will take you to every sight in the area. Not so good points Location. It is next to the convention center but nothing else. You are not in the center of an area where everything is at your doorstep. However, thy do have a shuttle bus which will take you to and bring you back from the waterfront. The waterfront is a thriving area full of shops, restaurants, bars and shopping. I very much enjoyed staying at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Cape Town,

Perfect birthday trip
The staff at the Westin was first class! We were there for six nights. From our welcome in the lobby to the wonderful daily breakfast everything was on point. The complimentary breakfast is a great way to start every morning before we headed out on our adventures for the day. Shuttle to VA waterfront made getting around easy. The spa on 19th floor was excellent. We would recommend and stay again.

Buy tickets to Table Mountain and Robbens island before you leave for your trip. They both depend on the weather. Much better to have them for the next day than be disappointed with them being sold out.

Good location
We spent 13 nights at the Westin Cape Town for conference and vacation combined. The hotel was very nice. The buffet breakfast was amazing - everything you could imagine for many different cultures. I counted 17 different juices and smoothies available as well as sushi (!) for breakfast options. Just before we left, the housekeeping staff mistakenly took some wineglasses we got at a winetasting event. We mentioned it to the concierge and just received an email that they had found them and will send them to us! That's service! They were friendly, helpful and polite. They have earned their stars.

Great Location, Great Experience
The hotel is located very close to the V&A Waterfront, with a free shuttle to the waterfront. It also has a stop on the CitySightseeing bus hop-on-hop-off tours, which adds to its convenience. The staff was very nice, the room was very clean, and I was very impressed.

Wonderful holiday
My mother and I stayed at the Westin for six nights in Cape Town and it was perfect. The luxury of the hotel amenities is second to none. The best part of this hotel, however was the staff, who couldn't have been friendlier. Also, the breakfast was fit for royalty with offerings from all over the world. I will recommend this hotel to all those visiting Cape Town. The only negative is that it is not quite as easy to walk to the waterfront as I thought it would be, but that really didn't matter.... every other aspect made up for it! Also if visiting the cape, make sure to go on a Township tour..... it changed my life.

Westin saved our trip
Thank goodness for the wonderful staff at the Westin. We picked up food poisoning somewhere in CapeTown. Fortunately we had a very comfortable room. The staff went out of their way to ensure that we stayed comfortable, hydrated, and fed, even making a special chicken noodle soup especially for us and bringing us (free) bottled water by the case. While the food poisoning was horrible (not their fault), they made it bearable. We loved the location too.
