The hotel playa cotobro lies in a delightful spot, cotobro bay, right on the beach, where three gorgeous valleys run into the warm waters of the Mediterranean. A strategic site, halfway between the town of almunecar and the beautiful punta la mona peninsula. Comfortable rooms are decorated in a tasteful, well-coordinated style with modern, functional furniture. They are equipped with central and individually controlled air-conditioning, a mini-bar, colour LCD TV with satellite programming, a security safe for hire, wi-fi connection, and a hair drier in the bathroom. Most rooms have their own balcony and sea views. The hotel has three types of rooms: the public areas of the hotel are all on the ground floor: lounge, reception area, el cenador restaurant and café. Surrounding the hotel and overlooking the bay are the swimming pool, la Goleta terrace and las termas bar, next to the Phoenician and roman ruins that were discovered during the building of the hotel. The decoration in this area has made the most of the effect of the Mediterranean light, featuring smooth forms and light-colored pieces decorated with mother-of-pearl.

Not a bad place to stay

It was a nice hotel, it was modern, clean and the rooms are large for European standards, although the beach across the street is a pebble beach. It is about 4km from the downtown area and 1.5km from the sandy beaches. It is definitely worth it to pay the extra money for the seaside view, all the seaside rooms have a balcony. It was wonderful to leave the balcony door open and fall asleep to the sound of the waves and the smell of the saltwater.
