Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya

This 4-star hotel is right off the main metro station, Barcelona Estancia. After touring the city, it was lovely to come "home" to a clean, modern, cool air-conditioned hotel. The price is more than reasonable. The beds are and bathrooms were marvelous. The Visual Restaurant has awesome views of the entire city. The staff gave us wonderful recommendations for local restaurants. They supply maps and directions for all the major sites. It is walking distance from the Magic Fountain on Sunday evenings. The metro will get you to every main attraction in Barcelona quickly and for a fraction of the price of the Tourist Bus or a Taxi. The staff at Torre Cantalunya will help you with getting familiar to the Metra system.

Great hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, David and Inga at the Business Center, Carmen at the Spa, the lady at the reception Desk(can not remember name) they all went out of their way to help with directions and tips for the best places to eat and see. I will recommend to everybody I know.

Great hotel. Great customer service. Right across from the main train station, and a Metro stop. Lots of good eating options close by. Even up high, it was somewhat noisy from sirens on the streets below.

Hotel is convenient to all major attractions and shopping.. Hypermart is next door to the hotel.

Good value, excellent location close to the Fira conference centre and next to Sants train station and Metro for easy access to all parts of Barcelona. Breakfast on 23rd floor provides great views of the sunrise over Barcelona. Rooms a good size, comfortable and clean. Would recommend.

Very nice hotel, located at perfect position just oposite the metro station (Sants Estacio). Take the green metro line from that station to get to most famous attractions of Barcelona. Also, it is very easy to get there from the airport (by R2 train). Next door to hotel there is a hypermarket with bar where you can eat very cheap. People at hotel are very kind and helpful. It was our honeymoon, and when they learned that they sent as a bottle of champagne, complimentary from hotel. We had a room at 17th floor, so the view was fantastic. Room was not very big, but it had everything we need. Bathroom - simply fantastic. Would stay there again.

Great location - ideal for Barca games and any trains out of Barcelona

We were very happy with this hotel. We stayed in this hotel after a cruise and it was easy to get to from the port. We took the blue bus from the port to the Columbus statue and from there bought a 3 day metro pass at the TI and took the metro to Sants Estasio train station. The hotel was on right hand side as soon as we got out. This made getting around Barcelona very easy. The bed was a bit hard like others have said but we actually found that we had a very good sleep on it. The only "complaint" we have is that the walls are very thin.

i asked for the highest available room and got one on the 17th floor. it was a great view over barcelona. if you realy want to be in the center and just walke arround, this is the right place for you. great restaurants arround like the fish restaurant arround the corner or the place called tapa tapa. just great!
