NH Diagonal Center

Hotel was quite affordable. The location was also good; reasonably close to many attractions and a couple of Metro and tram stops. The neighborhood seemed safe, but perhaps a bit rough-looking - there was a lot of graffiti on the walls. Also, no place to eat nearby. Room was small, but comfortable. But the window kept being blown open by the wind (was supposed to be locked) and the shower kept turning off unpredictably. Worst part was a rotten egg type of smell a couple of times.

As every NH hotel this one was stylish. The staff was pleasant although their English wasn't great. The hotel is not exactly located near the tourist attractions but it very well connected by metro. Breakfast was good as well.

NH Diagonal Center is conveniently located about 20 minutes' walking distance from the Olimpic Port in Barcelona. I found this hotel not to exceed my expectations as far as appearance and cleanliness were concerned, but it definitely was great for the location and its great value of a breakfast. Aside from being within walking distance to the beach, the closest metro stops (Marina and Bogatell) make it easy for a traveler to see Barcelona's best sights (La Boqueria, La Rambla, the Picasso Museum, the Cathedral, etc.). The area has several taxis constantly traveling up and down the streets, which also made traveling convenient. There is a mall very close by for shopping or other needs (there is a grocery store, Carrefour). The breakfast is the best value of the hotel, and travelers can enjoy some of the more Spanish tastes because the buffet is truly representative of Spanish and more local cuisine (tomato bread with olive oil and garlic, iberian ham, cured cheeses, pastries, etc.) The staff was very helpful with my questions as well. Overall, I would say that this hotel is a great value for the money.

it was a nice hotel for our trip. we stayed this hotel is because it is close to the beach. but it is a little far from the old town.

I would highly recommend this hotel, mostly because the staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was immaculate, comfortable and quiet. The area is pretty good too, as it is close to the beach and all Metro stops. It is also within walking distance to the city center, and quite a pleasant walk if you're not in a rush. If I were to nit pick, my only real complaint would be that there is no bar in the hotel or surrounding area, but the mini bar is very cheap and stocked every day. It is excellent value for money.

hotel is excellent value for money, its a close 4 minutes walk to bogatell line 4 metro or 7 minute walk to marina line 1 metro of which both stops will take you to the centre of barcelona in 8 minutes. Rooms are big and spacious and come with air con and a mini bar of which all drinks cost 1.85 eurors and a big 42 inch plasma and also a free safety deposit box can be found in room, bathroom is very big and comes with new modern facilites like towel warmers etc and the hotel even provided tooth brushes. A few local shops can be found 1 or 2 blocks away offering cheap food and grocies and also the hotel is only a 8 minute walk from the beech front. You can also find a really nice shopping complex in Glories a short walk away and a further 2 stops on the tram from there you can find an even bigger shopping complex which has a primark this is located at EL Maresme, overall this is a really good hotel which is fully worthy of itsw 4 stars and please dont be put off by the location as its easy to reach from the centre and from the airport
