Beautiful spa resort in Fuerteventura offers rest and relaxation galore
The highlight of the Barcelo Fuerteventura Thalasso and Spa Hotel is the spa itself. The U SPA Barcelo Fuerteventura Thalasso offers a wide range of services and treatments, including sea water swimming pools, Jacuzzis and saunas, Turkish baths, beauty treatments, massages and aromatherapy treatments (fees apply). The spa also houses a fitness center. The swimming pools, diving school and nearby golf course offer plenty of choice for people who prefer an active holiday. The hotel has excellent facilities including two restaurants and two bars.

- The hotel is situated on Fuerteventura. One of the easternmost islands in the Canaries 12 kilometers from its capital, Puerto del Rosario. The entire island of Fuerteventura has been declared a Biosphere Reserve, and of the 7 islands, it is the one with the longest coastline. Its water and climate make it possible to swim all year round. It is also worth highlighting its impressive dunes, which coexist with the erosion of the volcanoes and layers of lava.

Great hotel on the beach
picked this hotel for several reasons, was perfect for my elderly mother and aunts who enjoyed the beautiful walks along paths beside the beach, I picked half board option the food was excellent and so much choice to keep all happy. It was only 15 mins from airport and only12euro in a taxi, we didnt need to hire a car. Will be back!

Short drive from hotel
Nice market on saturday morning, get a taxi 10 min and about 3 euro. Offer approx half the asking price for handbags!!! Perfume much cheaper in town than airport duty free.

Memorable sunny break
As Pensioners we found this hotel suited our needs. The grounds and pools were well maintained. The tendency for many people to put towels on the sunbeds and then disappear for hours is annoying and a greater effort should be made by management to stop this happening. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In the evening more light is needed over where the Computers are located as some of our sights are not what they used be. Otherwise, we enjoyed our holiday very much.

agréable séjour de repos en février
L'hotel est situé en bord de mer au sein d'une petite localité balnéaire à environ 12KMS de Puerto del Rosario. Beaucoup de chambres pour chacune terrasse ou balcon, belle salle de bain. Parfois un peu bruyant. Repas sous forme de buffet copieux et variés. Thalasso à côté de l'hotel, salle de musculation bien équipé. Peu de chose à visiter idéal pour le repos.

Le paradis sur Terre ! Photo d'Internet = Réalité
Voyages en couple en mai 2012 en 1/2 pension. La météo était parfaite - de 22° à 30°. L'hôtel aussi et les allentours égalements. Le transfert aéroport-hôtel prend 10min. Il y a deux grandes piscines (une chauffée avec une partie jaccuzzi, l'autre non) les deux était à l'eau salée. Des spectacles de divertissement tous les soirs. Le buffet du petit déjeuner était très varié et très bon. Pleins de jus de fruits frais, etc.. Et le repas du soir toujours une spécialité mise en avant. D'excellent poissons. Sinon, les traditionnelles pâtes. Le bar de la piscine est idéal en demi-pension pour aller prendre un snack ou une boisson à l'heure de midi. (les lasagnes maison.. UN VRAI DÉLICE!!) Nous avions une chambre standard, très grande, avec climatisation, petite terrasse avec 2 chaises et repose-pieds pour les fins de soirées tranquilles. La mer est à 2min à pieds, le temps de traverser la largeur de la plage (très propre) On peut louer des chaises longues et parasol pour 9 euros la journée (2chaises-longues et 1parasol). Sinon, la plage est gratuites, il y a un bar de plages avec boissons, glaces et pizzas. le SPA est dans un bâtiments annexe à côté de l'hôtel, le fitness est gratuit mais l'entrée au SPA est 21 euros sauf erreur. Un peu cher mais très reposant avec de gros matelas et lit de plage. JE VOUS CONSEIL VRAIMENT CE PARADIS, TANT EN COUPLE QU'EN FAMILLE (mini-club pour les enfants)

Juste à côté de l'hôtel il y a un "site tourisitque" avec tes petits magasins de souvenirs, de vêtements et un tas de bon resto pas chers.

Good location to visit the island
Good location to visit the island (half way betwen north and south). Efficient and friendly staff. Good food and huge buffets. We're very pleased with this hotel.
