The hotel is lovely, very clean with staff who are all very helpful and multilingual. The hotel is on a steep slope with the reception at the top and the beach at the bottom with the rooms divided into blocks. However the whole place is accessible with slopes rather than steps and lifts. The hotel is pretty much on its own with just a few shops so there is no noisy strip of bars or clubs. We went for a complete break and it was lovely - It is not the place to go if you want a very active break and after a week I think we were glad to get back to a bit more life but I think it makes a great quiet break - mostly for couples and families with small children.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in November. There's a good selection of pools with one heated pool near the hotel spa. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the beach. The hotel is set on a hillside so there's some up hill walking once you get into the hotel but there's an elevator up to the entrance. 90% of the people staying there were middle aged Germans, so the hotel was very civilised. The same can be said for the Jandia area in general. There was none of the rowdiness you'd associate with other Canary Island locations. The hotel food, which is a buffet, was generally good with a different selection for each meal every day. However it's easy to get bored with it after a few days. Be careful with any poultry you get though as at one meal I picked up a piece of turkey that had a small piece that was still pink and undercooked. This one was the one blot on an overall very enjoyable stay.

Die Lage ist gut (schöner Strand), aber nur für Leute, die gut zu Fuss sind. Zu den Hotel-Restaurants, zum Sport oder zum Strand ist es ziemlich weit. Schöne Anlage, allerdings vom Personal her komplett unter dotiert. Leider spart dieses Hotel am falschen Ort, nämlich beim Personal. Die zahlenmässig viel zu kleine Crew arbeitet dauernd am Limit, womit der Service folglich ungenügend ausfällt. Die Angestellten sind derart überlastet, dass Sie weder die Zeit finden, ans Telefon zu gehen (Rezeption) noch auf die Bedürfnisse oder die Reklamationen (Reparatur von WC-Anlage und Steckdose) der Gäste einzugehen. Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, allerdings ist der TV und Fernsehprogramm bestenfalls auf den Niveau eines 2-Stern-Hotels. Das Essen resp. Buffet ist einseitig und nie und nimmer eines 5-Sterne-Hotels würdig. Der Service im Restaurant ist ebenfalls ungenügend. Letzteres auch aus Gründen von zu wenig Personal. Wenn nur ein Kellner dutzende von Tischen zu bewirtschaften hat, kann das nicht klappen. Gleiches gilt für die Küche. Auch dort wird es nicht genug Personal haben. Man bekommt in der Folge täglich das Gleiche vorgesetzt. Das Fleischangebot begrenzt sich auf Schweinefleisch und billigen Fisch. Geflügel fehlt fast gänzlich und Abwechslungen bei den Zutaten sind kaum auszumachen. Das Fitnesscenter ist eine absolute Lach-Nummer. Dort kann man bestenfalls Herz-/Kreislauf-Training betreiben (aber nur wenn nicht mehr als zwei Leute dort sind). Das Krafttrainings-Angebot beschränkt sich auf zwei minderwertige Maschinen. Freie Gewichte fehlen gänzlich. Schade. Fazit: Das Hotel ist keinesfalls dem im Internet beschriebenem Niveau entsprechend. Bestenfalls ist das Ganze 3 Sterne wert. Preislich wäre zudem selbst die Hälfte des Preises noch überrissen.

Un séjour idéal ! Grand hôtel bien organisé, idéalement situé, doté d'un personnel accueillant, efficace et compétent, aucune mauvaise surprise ! S'agissant d'une énorme machine (sans doute près de 1000 chambres !) on aurait pu craindre que l'effet de masse se traduise par des désagréments au niveau du client individuel. En fait, l'espace et gigantesque et, même au niveau des repas, cet effet de masse est traité par une plus grande variété et même des initiatives de cuisine recherchée qui suppriment tout effet de lassitude. Nous recommandons chaleureusement cet hôtel !
