Fuerte Miramar Hotel

My husband and I wanted to get away from our busy life in London to relax somewhere. Marbella has always been our favourite place and I carefully searched to find a suitable hotel. Fuerte LMiramar had good reviews and we liked the location as it was in town but not in a busy area and the sea and the beach was just a ston throw away. there was an especial offer for free parking (12 Eurose/day otherwise) which was both convenience to hire a car from the airport and also knowing that we could park somewhere safe and free for one week. the breakfast was well presented with good quality, enough variety and no one need to qeue or wait for an empty dish to be refilled. Staff were friendly and polite, and every morning they greeted and marshed the guests to their tables. The hotel itself is old but clean and airy, perhaps not likeble for those who like modern and contemporary style. at the check in we got the code for WiFi to be conected to the internet. It kept disconnected as soon as we had a pause for a short time and everytime we would go through the registeration again. TV channels were not interesting, infact you should go up and down the channel list many times and only watch a blank, blue, still screen until you could find BBC World or Sky News, and maybe one or two more English news channel but luckily none of us are interested watching TV and the purpose of our holiday was something else. I would recomend this Hotel to people who wants to relax and to stay close to the beach and enjoy the promenade. The location of this hotel is a big plus and I would also recomend you to cross the main road and go to the other side and you would immediately see local life with its typical spanish alleys and houses and lots of local and good restaurants and cafe and also some small shops selling fresh fruits and vegtables.

Great location just a short walk to old town. Could not find it on my GPS but will stay there again. Buffet breakfast was outstanding for 8 euros - main dining room was closed because of off season but the food served in the bar was outstanding. The hotel staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

Very satisfying hotel, excellent staff very helpful, location is very good, parking garage under the hotel, pool and beach are very nice. Morning breakfast has anything you would want including made to order omeletes, fresh squeezed orange juice.Furete Miramar is a very good value at a reasonable price. I would stay there again without hesitation.

When we arrived we had been travelling for 2 days by train from Belgium. It was my son´s 16th Birthday the next day. The hotel had downgraded our room, because we arrived so late, they comped us dinner the next night to compensate and moved us into a balcony beach front room by 10.30 the next morning. We were treated with kindness and the ammenities and access to the beach are PERFECT!!! LOVE this hotel!

I traveled with just me and my sister to Madrid, Marbella, and Lisbon in June of 2011. This hotel was great. Location The location is at the start of the strip of beach where everything started to become good so you can just start at the hotel and walk down the beach path and there are great shops. Its also really close to the old town which is nice to walk around also. Food Food was amazing. Try the dinner! We went to all other restaurants locally to try the local cuisine. We went our last night to the hotel and it was the best meal of our trip. Huge kudos to the chef - best dinner, good mix of authentic food with some stuff for tourists. Price It was not over priced. I would say good value for money. Spa Very nice. My sister used it and was very pleased with the service and staff. Rooms Good view from our room. Nice acomodations, bed, bathroom etc. Strange vacuum looking hair dryers, but aside from that it was nice. Staff Very pleasant. They had activities and didn't annoy you to do them, but were also proactive in engaging you. We went on the tour of the old city from the hotel - very nice and personal. Negatives 1) You had to pay for the internet- Coming from the US most hotels include this. Always annoying when you have to pay. Luckily it was for the trip and not per day. It was not that expensive though. 2) You had to pay to use a chair on the beach. It was 3.5 Euro per chair. Really annoying since the hotel is on the beach and then they charge you to use their beach chairs! If you lay on your own towel its free or at the pool its free. And by the way - the asian women trying to offer you massages on the beach are annoying. Stay pool side to avoid the hassle. 3) Prices at the poolside restaurant were a little steep for lunch.

Ett hotell med bra standard för att vara Spanien. Läget är perfekt i slutet av strandpromenaden i Marbella och de tar en liten mysig utegård med pool ut mot havet och strandpromenaden. Frukosten är fantastiskt bra och de serverar t.o.m cava till frukost. Minuset är att de inte har några produkter i badrummet som alla 4-stjärniga hotell skall ha. Endast en universal tvål/shampoo utav lägre kvalitet. Det fanns heller inget strykjärn eller strykbräda vilket man också förväntar sig i ett 4-stjärnigt hotell i denna prisklassen. Lite små rum (ca 20kvm) och lätt värt att uppgradera på plats för 15Euro så får ni fantastiskt fin sideview av havet.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut und die Lage nahe Altstadt sehr angenehm, da alle Wege zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten kurz waren.Die Mitarbeiter sehr kompetent, die Zimmer sehr sauber.
