Halfway between the old quarter and the natural area around the Tajo river, The Casona de la Reyna is a delight in every sense, from its unrivalled views to its cosy lounge with fireplace. Its located on the east side of the historic city center with wonderfull view to the river and some beatifull mountains and rocks. This building is mixed by a modern architectural touch and a traditional influence, like the city. Totally remodeled, the Casona de la Reyna Hotel rests upon the original foundation of a 16th century Toledan house. The structure retains archeological remains from the early Middle Ages, such as its oven and cistern. The hotel offers inviting and tasteful decoration inside and out. The hotel is 10 minutes by foot from the most interesting sights, like the cathedral, the house of Greco, the santo tome church, and the jewish quarter is at five minutes, also you can get quikly to the main place, zocodover, were you can get from a cup of coffee, eat at the best restaurants,and take some drinks. The shopping zone is on the way to zocodover, called c. comercio.

Quiet but close to the sights

Very attentive and helpful reception desk staff. Friendly and accomodating. Very nice continental-type buffet breakfast for 8.5 Euros. Five to ten minute walk to all the sights in town.

Cool and Comfortable

This is another nice Sercotel property, very clean, attractive, and well appointed. It is easiest to take the bus (across the street) into town if it is hot (it was for our stay). In cooler weather the walk would not be difficult up the hill through and into town. The nearby river area below is grafitti marked and seemed neglected. We were not that comfortable on the streets and trails there. There is an interesting bath ruin just across the street above the river.

Fantastic Place

We just loved the hotel. It had a nice view of the river and was close to everything, but not too close. The staff were especially pleasant and helpful. The rooms were quaint and clean. For the price, it could not be beat. It is not a five star property, but for traveling on a budget and only a place to sleep when you are out all day, it is perfect and romantic!
