Sathorn Grace Serviced Residence

This hotel is a great value. It is clean and modern, with international channels on flat-screen TVs. The best part is their magnificent roof-top pool. It is large and a great, comfortable place to lounge about. The hotel operates an on-demand Tuk-Tuk to get to the nearby Skytrain, which is otherwise a 15-20 minute easy walk. For those who stated here before: the hotel is under new ownership and new management. Things are vastly improved. The current manager cares a great deal about customer satisfaction.

We loved this hotel. It was in the heart of the Silom district. The hotel had great recommendations for everything, including an EXCELLENT suit maker who was affordable and had impeccable quality. They had a tuk tuk that took us to and from places. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Always reasonably priced, and with an absolutely great rooftop pool, this small hotel is a 15 minute walk and about half a dozen Skytrain stops from the main Sukhumvit tourist center. Nevertheless, it is a nice walk and will expose you to what things are really like in Bangkok. Not many restaraunts close-by, but a 7-11 1/2 block away is open 24 hours.

We have a 3 year old child so we got the one room for more space. The room is very spacious and comfortable. There is everything you need in the kitchen if you decide to cook and stay inside. The roof top swimming pool is great it has a very big toddler section in one corner and the pool is never busy a great plus for kids. The staff from the front desk to security guards are friendly and helpful. You will not be dissapointed in this choice.

The room was clean, the shower nice but do not try and get here without a map to give the taxi driver. I am an avid traveller and we got so lost trying to fine this place. We had a local call the hotel in order to get directions which she then hailed another cab and passed on the directions because no one knows where this place is. And the pictures are pretty far from truthful. The infinity pool is definitely not that. We did not even waste our time going in.

The hotel room and the staff are excellent and very accomodating, The amenities I found to be somewhat lacking. I do business in the Silom area and I found the location alright but not excellent. The room itself and the staff one would expect to find in a more expensive hotel. Over all the hotel is a excellent value.

The facilities at this residence were absolutely to our satisfaction given that this is a serviced residence and not an actual hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and were always on hand to answer any queries we had. The internet price seemed a little exorbitant but I understand many hotels charge at this level. As the BTS was only a 5 min walk away we were able to access most areas of inner Bangkok with ease.

Internet access is now 1000 Baht + Tax per night, or more than us$30 per day. It costs nearly as much as the room itself. Internet used to be free. Even at these horrible $30/day rates, Internet is slow-slow-slow. At best you will get 1 megabit down, and often less. The towels are all tattered and frayed at the edges. You don't get tissues any more. I have always liked this hotel for being clean and quiet and affordable. But with the new Internet rates there are better options out there and that aren't a 15 minute walk and 20 minute train ride into the central parts of Bangkok.

very helpfull people and close to all stayed twice last year once in may and once in sept going back this year. Nice pool upstairs.
