Great rooms
We stayed 4 nights at the Sathorn Grace and enjoyed it. The facility is brand new (3 months old when we stayed there) and modernly done. There is a great workout area and pool on the rooftop, and the rooms are spotless. Wireless is free and quick and the staff is very friendly. One thing is they did not have a breakfast - which is disappointing for me. They are not too close to the main touristy areas, but that makes it nice and quiet. There is also a BTS station close by that can take you to many places as well as to the river and you can catch a boat uptown. The hotel offers a tuk tuk (free) to drive you to the station also. I rated it a 5 for value as there was a great promotion on for us. The hotel is new, so the staff are still fresh and I imagine working out a few kinks. But all in all a great experience.

Far beyond my expectations
As someone who works in the travel service industry, I know how harsh people can be in their criticisms. As a result, I always give the benefit of the doubt. However, at the Sathorn Grace Serviced Residence, there is no need for me to do that. This place is simply wonderful. My room was brand new and spotless, the staff went light years beyond the call of duty, (even if their English was lacking), and the entire space was welcoming and comfortable. This is a room that would easily be several times the price in New York City. I enjoyed every moment here and slept like a log. Okay, now for the "everything must be perfect, because I'm an American" crowd, here's what you'll be complaining about: There were a small number of easy-to-kill mosquitoes in the room (Ummm, it's Thailand not Beverly Hills), although I was never bitten by any. Also you're likely to run into some ants, especially if you have any amount of food around. Finally the neighborhood is not the most convenient if you are hoping to be what some people call "the middle of the action." I walked to the Skytrain every day; It took about 10 minutes. They also have a free shuttle to the Skytrain. Taxis in Bangkok are reasonably priced. If I were to ever move here, this would be my new home.

The serviced residence is very close to the skytrain making getting around BKK very easy. The front desk staff speak excellent English and were very helpful in directing me to different sites of the city.

Very friendly Staff. Location was OK, close enough from the SkyTrain. A lot of places to eat in the area, but I didn't risk to try any.

Warm weather getaway.
The Hotel was nice and had a good view from the roof top and Gym. Location was good for local cuisine and also a short walk to BTS. The halls were noisy and if the crowd coming home was a little noisy then it woke people up. Day time was to noisy to sleep much. House cleaning was a little hit and miss with a few thing (Toilet Paper) but it was not a bad experience and the price was right for sure.

Long walk from hotel
Long walk to BTS (10 blocks) but then there is a Took Took service if you wish. From there it is a train ride to shopping and night life all over. MBK, Siam and Emporium malls for shopping as well as street shopping along Sukhumvit. NaNa Plaza and Soi Cowboy are close by BTS stations as well. Taxi fare from furthest away is 75 Bhat max but some cabs don't want to to travel that far so you may have to stop and ask a few.

Fantastic Value
This Hotel had a special introductory rate which will not last long because the rooms are super modern in terms of equipment and furnishings and the location is ideal. The hotel is down a narrow street off a main road and is somewhat hard to find.

There are not many restaurants in this area, but the Arirang Korean Restaurant is excellent and on nearby soi 12. Also the Blue Elephant is just across from the Surasak BTS station and has good Thai and Chinese dishes.

THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING
The Hotel was very nice and it appeared that it was set up as "long stay" rooms. The staff was very nice and I would say that if you had your own transport, that this place would be fine... but if you are just a traveling tourist and want to be close to "things", you should probably pass this hotel by... the location is just awful, and the shuttle is just a marginal thing... The breakfast was quite a surprise. It is brought to your room, and consist of two slices of cold toast and two cold mini frankfurters.... I found it kind of amusing that they even could call it a breakfast...

Good infrastructure, good service...
Very nice room, cheap rate... No breakfast and restaurant in the hotel (the installations are not ready yet...) Housekeepers entered my room once a day, without knocking... Just make sure you double lock the door when you're inside... Great place to stay, especially for long term...
