Friendly and comfortable
everyone at the hotel makes a real effort to make you happy. it was my husbands birthday and without me telling them or arranging anything the staff congratulated him over breakfast and later delivered a lovely cake to our room to celebrate. eventhough the hotel is not super modern etc, it is clean and comfortable. location is just outside of town with some nice restaurants in the area. if you want to be in town the whole time i suggest you hire a scooter for the period of your stay as they dont have any regular shuttles too and from town (parking available at the hotel). Pool and shower onthe beach is perfect for relaxing.

fantastic honeymoon
We spend our honeymoon in this hotel and had a very pleasant stay. The staff was very nice and friendly. The room was cleaned on daily basis and always had animals made up of towels. Also it was spacious and had plenty of storage for cloths.Room safe to secure your belongings. The bathroom was spacious as well and and both the shower and the toilet are separated from the main area. There is a balcony for each room, which is great to sit out in the evening and enjoy the green surrounding around the hotel. The only minus is the air conditioner which is tio loud at the night time,so you have to wake up and turn it on and off. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, plenty to choose from and tasty too...not talking about the sea view while eating. It is located at the north side of chaweng beach, approax 20 min walk to the main area of chaweng along the beach. Not to crowed and not many sellers walking by:) Over all had a very enjoyable stay in baan haad ngam :) felt like in paradise

great,very comfortable
rooms were spacious and clean but the bed was very hard and I had to ask for a double duvet to sleep on. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice and ran `til 10,30 am. drinks at the pool bar was expensive and had a service charge even if you went to the bar yourself, so it was much cheaper outside. There is very little space around the pool and sunbeds are packed like sardines. No access to the beach due to high tide all day, however the sea was very shallow and safe to use. The hotel is about 25 minute walk into the main resort of Chaweng for the restaurants so we used the baht bus but it was £2 each way ,which was rather a lot over the 14 day period. There were a few nice fish restaurants on the beach or nearby but very little thai food unless you went into town. The staff at the hotel were very nice and always helpful but there were language barriers due to their lack of English and our lack of Thai. the manager had a presence and was always couteous and helpful. All in all good value for money.

It was my first visit to Koh Samui
It was my first visit to Koh Samui and I had an extremely pleasant stay at the Baan Haad Ngam Boutique Resort Samui. I managed to book a villa at an affordable price and I was very happy with the many surprises that I had during my stay such as: 1. The staff were extremely friendly. They are always smiling and ready to offer their help. 2. Although it is not a big resort with lots of facilities, I do enjoyed all the facilities there. The spa center is clean and offers good & cheap massage and spa. The infinity pool is beautiful and clean. 3. Of course, I am most happy with the villa which I was staying. The room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable. The jacuzzi is a value-add feature and it's really great. And the towel arrangements (with different shapes of animals) are really unique and cute! My only comment for improvement is with the shower. During my stay, it was quite difficult to adjust the temperature of the shower and the water pressure was a bit low.

Very good reception. Behavior
Very good reception. Behavior of the staff is excellent and polite. Location of the hotel is fantastic. Beach and pool facilities are very good. Restaurant environment is pleasant; either you break your fast or have your evening tea, just you seat on the sea surrounded by natural beauty. I should say Baan Haad Ngam resort is a village with calm beach at one side and natural greenery on the other with 5 star facilities.

great location
The best part was after exiting the hotel, taking a few steps and then seeing the ocean. The hotel was a bit too small, but comfortable nonetheless.

Right on the Beach
The hotel was small but it had everything that we needed since we were mainly concentrating on the city itself and not the hotel. The location was great and was very helpful it was only a few yards away from a CVS and Walgreens, which came in very handy. The views on the beach were excellent, especially in the moring sunrise. The room was small w/a queen size bed, but that was all we needed. The staff was friendly and was always there to help. I would defintely choose this hotel for the price and location.

Instead of driving down to South Beach, you have just a small walk outside the hotel and across the street to the beach...it as fabulous!

Room without a view and nothing to eat
The Rodeway Hotel in Miami is a bit far from the action but the beach, which is right across the street. None of the rooms have views and it is basically a sleep and go hotel. Unfortunately all of the rooms on the first floor are essentially in the lobby as you can hear the desk business, phone calls and the cleaning people, who arrive VERY EARLY in the morning, laughing and talking nonstop with the desk clerk and each other. Try to get on the 2nd floor. The neighborhood is a bit seedy and when I asked where I could go to get something to eat after 9pm I was directed to a Walgreens drug store a block away. There are small iceboxs in the room and I recommend keeping water, snacks, and fruit in there because unless you are comfortable walking in strange, dark neighborhoods, you are out of luck finding food or water after a certain hour. I was there for the art fair in South Beach and it was a $15 dollar cab ride each way but public transportation runs every 10 minutes during the day. The room was clean but smelled a little mildewy. The bed was firm and the shower was okay and the tv worked. The best asset was the staff working the front desk as they were very nice and helpful.

Good position only !
Hotel request a mandatory payment of 3$ for safety boxes without any formal advice. Cleaness of the common area just average. Breakfast free .....but only before 8:00 or the few croissant and coffee available is gone! Only the location was very good ocean front.
