The hotel is in a great location, walking distance from most of the major attractions. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, sitting down with us to plan what we wanted out of our visit, and offering to book on line tickets and make reservations for one of the palaces which we would probably not seen as we were not aware we needed to reserve places on a tour. . The breakfasts and restaurant were also ecxellent with a lot of choice. A very nice touch was the complimentary tea and bagels served late afternoon, very welcome after a day on our feet.

Convenient & Kind
Location was very good (sometimes heard Koran because near blue mosque, but did not care so much) , and staff was kind. When I arraived early morning before check-in time, the staff recommended if I had the breakfast here or not. It has sauna and Turkish Spa, but are open only from 4pm. I wish also AM would be open !

Feels like family
We really enjoyed the Sirkeci Konak. The staff is fantastic, the food is great and the perks are plentiful. My only recommendation might be to get a room on a higher floor since we were a bit warm on the lower level above the kitchen. It was a bit pricey for us, but I think it's comparable to other hotels in Istanbul and we were really pleased with our stay! Highly recommended.

It's Istanbul.
The Hotel was terrific. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location in the old city was near all the sites within walking distance. We used the hotel's turkish bath, sana, and pool which was relaxing after tourning around. The free welcome drink, free water bottles in the room free lemonaid tea and snacks at 5:00PM weredelightful. The free breakfast buffet was very tasty and plentyful. All in all it was a pleasant stay at theKonak.

Wonderful Family Experience
Sirkeci Konak is a one of a kind hotel that is equally peaceful and pleasurable for kids. We spent 11 days at Sirkeci Konak in Aug 2011 and had an incredible experience. After reading all the positive reviews I felt it would be impossible for them to meet the expectations that my wife and I set, but was I wrong! They exceeded any and all expectations and made our experience in Istanbul all the more memorable. The hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained, clean and conveniently located. But what makes it special is that staff! I can't say enough about how much they went out of their way to make me and my family (especially my 3 year old son) feel welcomed and entertained. Unfortunately I cannot remember all of their names, but each and every person that worked for the hotel that we interacted with made us feel as if we were relatives visiting them after several years. I hope to one day visit Istanbul again, and if I do, no question I will return to Sirkeci Konak! Thanks to all that made of visit so wonderful.

Short walk from hotel
If you are in the market for Turkish handmade jewelry, stop by and visit Mustafa at TiAmo's across the street from Sirkeci. Mustafa and his fiance are warm, welcoming and honest.

Just What We Wanted, and More!
The Sirkeci Konak lived up to the high recommendations I had been reading about. The staff was amazing and helped my dad and I out on all of our trip planning. They gave wonderful restaurant recommendations and even sent up a bottle of wine to our room after my dad told them that he liked a particular kind of wine they served at their hotel. When we went in March the road in front of the hotel was torn up---so you might want to check to see if it is completed--that was a little awkward for rolling luggage!

Excellent in all ways
The hotel is in a great location (across from Topkapi Palace and a few steps from a tram stop). It is very attractive, but the staff and the extras make it special. Everyone is anxious to please and most helpful; the hotel offers events like daily afternoon tea, wine tastings and cooking classes, which we really appreciated since it snowed three of the six days we were in Istanbul. There is free wi-fi or computer use if you don't have your own; a Turkish bath, fitness center and small indoor pool; and the rooms have a tea and coffee maker. The breakfast buffet was top-notch.

This is a great place to stay!
From the moment you walk into this hotel, you're greeted like a family member. Honestly, EVERYONE that works here is so friendly and happy. The staff greets you, asks you to have a seat in the beautiful lobby area & gives you an orientation (if you're up for it). You really want to do this, they have a bunch of information - plus some great freebies the hotel offers that you can sign up for. We opted to: - do the Turkish wine and cheese tasting - Cooking night with the chef - Backgammon Unlike some hotels that really nickel & dine you, this hotel spares no fret over a few dollars to make your stay perfect. The front desk even has tram tokens so you don't need to hassle with getting them yourself. The wifi is free & strong (even in your room, and for all devices), the breakfast is free & lavish, and the on-site restaurant is absolutely wonderful. You also can't beat the location. Just a few tram stops to the Blue Mosque, The Sophia & The Grand Bazaar. Or a 5 minute walk to the spice market, the bridge to Euro side, or the ferry to the Asia side. The best part is it's an easy hotel to find in a city that is very foreign & easy to get turned around in. Just walk/follow the tram line & when you get to the part that it passes the ancient wall - voila, you're home! Fantastic neighborhood of shops, restaurants & attractions. Geared to tourists? Yes, but face it, you ARE a tourist! enjoy every minute.

Great hotel
I stayed at this hotel for one night after adding an additional day to a business trip. The hotel is clean, rooms are nice and modern, and the staff if very friendly. It's a reasonable walk to many of Istanbul's sights. When I return with the rest of the family, we'll definately be staying here again as it was nicer than the "4-star" business hotel I stayed at for the rest of the trip. I didn't eat at the hotel since there were too many places near there to try instead.

Turkish delight!
Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. The staff was above wonderful. We got to Istanbul only to find that our luggage had not arrived. The staff worked with us for three days contacting the airlines until the luggage was finally returned. They were very friendly and most professional. Each morning there is a lovely buffet breakfast and a nice tea in mid afternoon. We would definitely recommend it and hope to stay there again.
