Perfect location in central Edinburgh. Wonderful staff. 2 great restaurants. Excellent breakfast buffet. Close enough to walk to just about anything. Very comfortable rooms.

Overall great experience. Was attending the Fringe festival, where I was involved with a play that was showing. Reception gave me a nice room upgrade from a good deal I got through orbitz. Room

The hotel is old but well cared for. Every employee is kind and helpful. Breakfast is a treat, especially if it is included in the price, as it was for me.

Good place for getting some beer and having a good value, tasty meal is Shakespeare, a pub just up the street (ask concierge). I used it as my place to "base it up" with food/drink before running over to the play production every evening.
