Set in the heart of the city centre and steeped in history itself, the hotel occupies five original Georgian townhouses dating back to the early 1800s with many of the historic features preserved. Each stylish room offers state-of-the-art technology with a media hub allowing you to watch your own movies on the flat screen HDTV and even listen to your own music through the speakers in your en-suite bathroom so you can sing along while enjoying our luxury products in the spa-inspired rainfall showers . In addition to this each room is fitted with a mini-bar offering complimentary snacks and soft drinks, air conditioning, Egyptian cotton bedding and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The history of this local area of Edinburgh with Calton Hill , Sir Arthur Conan Doyles birth place and the iconic Edinburgh Castle are being captured in the stories and designs of this beautiful hotel. Old facility, but we were very happy with the facility and service provided. The brekfast included was great and the cost per night was the best price we have found while traveling through 5 countries. We would stay there again. Location is execellent.

Rooms could do with a face-lift,

Rooms could do with a face-lift, lifts very claustrophobic and old. Only other thing was parking or lack of it, nearest parking was over £10/day

Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter

Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter la ville mais les chambres donnant sur l'avenue (York Place) sont extrêmement bruyantes.
