Features
North Bridge Brasserie & Bar fuses grand Victorian architecture, dramatic interiors, and contemporary styling. The building, more than a century old, housed The Scotsman newspaper. We will never know
They were overbooked, got sent to a 5 star way out of the way, cost 10£every time we wanted to go to Edinburgh. Not terribly convenient. However Prestonfield was quite lovely.

Fabulous stay in Edinburgh!
Booked this hotel because of it's perfect location at North Bridge. Short walk to most everything worth seeing in the city. Stayed for two nights - room 502. Great view, incredible service and comforts. Little touches were everywhere. Food in the restaurant is exemplary. Will absolutely book this hotel if/when returning to Edinburgh.

Christmas get together
The system of booking into your room is annoying; I would prefer an option to take my key and go. The Hotels staff were great, and the location is perfect for visiting Edinburgh. The bedroom was fine, ours was next to the main street and therefore ended up noisy, the rooms just lacked finish. The TV unit was ugly, the bed a bit too small, and the bathroom was not as tidy as it could have been. I’m being critical but to be truthful it is a great Hotel, very beautiful inside.

Excellent for first timers at a 5 star hotel
Only very minor issues. Slight whiff in the elevator going up to the top floors in the evening and the television was programmed for a German guest, but otherwise absolutely perfect. It was our honeymoon and they treated us as such. Will definitely be going back for anniversaries to come.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Favorite Pubs: Whiski's, Deacon Brody's, and The world's end. GREAT!! Try steak and ale pie and fish & chips. Also, loved Eteaket for afternoon tea or light lunch located on Frederick St.
