Would never stay here again!
We arrived and went to check in at the desk and got told that we still had to pay a security deposit of £250. Which apparently we had already been told about. However when I checked through the website and emails it's not mentioned. We paid it anyway and were told that ad long as the apartment isn't damaged or a mess we would get it back. So went up to the room and it was already a mess! Sofa and chair were broke and tore. Door and side of the bath in the bathroom were cracked. Holes and marks all over the walls. Mirror broke in the bedroom. Dirty dishes in the sink. The floor was filthy! Disgraceful for them to expect us to have to stay there for a week after paying the £250! So took photos of the problems and showed them to reception who said they would send someone up. No one ever arrived though. That night we were getting ready to go out but the shower wouldn't work. Phoned down to reception to complain and got hung up on! So walked down and got told the phone broke! Said about the shower and got told there's nothing they can do till the morning as maintenance are away home. Argued a bit more and eventually after I said I'm not leaving reception till they sort it they offered to upgrade us to a different room. So got a bigger 4* room but the customer service was still terrible! Even asking for an ironing board was a massive issue for them! I have to say I don't usually write reviews but after staying here I had to! I would never stay here again!

Not a good stay
The web site shows lounge seating for 5 in the appartments for 5 guests but in reality there is only seating for 3. Only the penthouse appartments have 2 sofas. The bedrooms are on the corridor side of the building and the security light out there shines into the bedrooms causing an unwelcome interuption to sleep during the night. The blinds do not block out this illumination everytime some one comes in or out of the lift. Noise from the corridor echos and can seem like some out outside is in your appartment. The appartment was dirty and shabby. Only 1 small bar of soap and 1 toilet roll for a three night stay. Only 1 pillow for 5th guest on sofa bed. Someone was sick next to the lift and despite reporting this at 1pm it was still there at 5pm. We did speak to the manager on our day of departure and have been compensated for our lack of sleep and misleading information.

Not for sleeping
This apartment is used by hen and stag groups at the weekend so don't stay if you want to sleep before 6 am. The design of the building amplifies all noise and inconsiderate guests ruin it for others. Probably ok in the week. Not a fancy apartment but for price and location it's reasonable. Cleaner isn't very thorough. Wouldn't stay again.

Spectrum apartments
When we arrived the reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. At first the room seemed ok, but as we had a toddler travelling with us it soon appeared how dirty the floor was. On closer inspection we found a used eyelash on the floor and lots of stains from previous residents. The bathroom floor was very dirty too. There was a jelly cola bottle stuck to the smoke alarm. When we asked the recetion staff for more toilet roll? They were very helpful again and asked us if everything was ok, we said we didnt like to complain but the floors were very dirty and we only complained as we had a toddler with us. They sent someone to clean the floor for us......she was very unhelpful, told us it was because they were new laminated floors and thats why they were dusty, (stains and dirty marks not dust!) She mopped the bathroom and left. Shame really because they are nice well equiped apartments, although other residents came in really quite late and very noisy, not a good combination with an 18 month toddler.

This 2 bed apartment, while a
This 2 bed apartment, while a welcome addition to Liverpool, left a lot to be desired. The master bedroom was extremely small, too small to include suitcases, which had to be left in the living area. Only 1 clothes hanger in wardrobe. Tea towels, laundry powder, tea spoons were not included. The bathroom did not have an extractor fan, and there was nowhere to put personal toiletries. The design of the common space outside the apartment caysed ut to echo, and the comings and goings of other guests causes undue noise. The wash basin plug in the bathroom became stuck, and caused problems for the three of us and worries about hygiene. Despite promises to rectify, nothing was done by the management during the four days and nights we stayed. The Wi Fi service was very good with a good signal and was free of charge.
