Great location; everything else - not so great
The best thing that can be said about this hotel is that it has a great location. My room was not ready by 3:00 pm, the pillows were the worst ever, towels and bathrobes are like sandpaper, food is terribly over-priced and mediocre at best, water temp in shower fluctuated from comfortable to freezing to scalding. For the price I paid, the room BASICS should have been exemplary, but sadly, this was not the case.

For a decent, inexpensive meal (although very casual), try Pret a Manger on Horseferry Road.

New Year's Eve
I've rated my stay as average as I only had an average stay. There is no doubt that if you get a good size room and the sky lounge is accessible, your stay will be more than average. The location is very good with a good few small shops, restaurants and pubs nearby. The price of breakfast is so expensive, £21 for full english, £16 for continental. There are a few places you can get a cheaper breakfast. My favorite was on the corner of Gray Coates Street, £3.95 for a platter of full english.

Great couple getaway
The location of the hotel was great it was close to things but not in a busy area. The staff was very helpful and the environment was always clean. Having computers in the room was very helpful. The bathrooms were small but had good water pressure. Our only complaint was about the beds the mattresses good of been better but we definitely would recommend this hotel.

Wonderful London stay
The hotel is located in a quite area better suited for business rather than tourist travel. We took the bus which was a short walk. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast was a bit pricey. The rooms were a fair size, nicely decorated and very clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Good staff and clean hotel
While I liked the Mint Hotel and appreciated its attentive staff, the room and amenities seemed average. The room was very clean and the Apple was fun, although I would've rather had a larger television. The location itself is convenient, as it's close to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben.

Quiet and comfortable
The location is just outstanding for a tourist or even if you're doing business in central London/the City. John Islip is a quiet street but you're an easy (assuming you enjoy walking, and this is London after all) walk from Westminster, Pimlico, and St. John's Woods stations. It's a huge relief to be away from the chaos surrounding the Houses of Parliament. The hotel itself is well staffed and modern. There's some wear and tear around the edges but overall it's clean and the rooms are compact but not cramped. The shower temperature was prone to jumping around though, from warm to cool to hot, so if you have kids, test the shower yourself first to avoid a scene. All in all it's what I want in a hotel, and I'll return.

Great London Stay!
The room was very good, the hotel is in a very good location on a low traffic street. We liked the convenience of having the iMac in the room as well as the very helpful staff who continued to help us with shipping a package long after we had finished our stay.
