My stay
There was a security breach. The hotel accidentally booked another person into my room and had a surprise visit from someone attempting to enter my room at 1 am. I called to the front desk who was apologetic, but I will never stay there again.

Good value & great location
The staff were very helpful; the 1st night I was given a ground floor room that was cold and very noisy as it was above the underground station, but the next morning they changed my room without any fuss. The restaurant was well-priced and very limited but surprisingly good quality. In general everybody was friendly but the last night the fire alarm went off at 10:30pm and woke me.

Great!
First off, I would absolutely stay here again. The location is awesome, close to the tube and shops. the included breakfast was great considering the expense of London. And the staff was super friendly. Now for the not so good-- Ok, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel to light sleepers? I don't know, I didn't have any problems, but it's an old building and it's creeky. The tube does run under the building, and I could tell even on the 3rd floor- but it wasn't annoying, I could just hear it. My room was quite small, but certainly large enough. All in all I think it's a great value for the money.

10 Day London Getaway
Great Location and Great, Helpful Staff. When we arrived we requested a room on the front as we had previously had. One was not available for that night but they transferred us to another room the next day. It was not on the front, but the back on the second floor. Carpet was somewhat dirty--we could hear, feel the underground Tube. Room was not real warm--one night had to put the plush towels on the bed to be warm enought. Cold air came in around the windows. Location is great. Would probable stay again IF we could get a room on the front of the bldg. since we were staying 9 nights I felt they could have been a little more helpful in getting us a satisfactory room.

Great Location for the price
I love the location, it is almost right next to Bayswater station, and just a few minutes walk from Queensway station, so you have very convenient access to two major underground line. Queensway is a nice shopping and dining area and Whiteleys mall is very close too. Rooms are tiny but for the price I am kind of expecting it, and a drawback I don't mind as much as I don't spend much time in the room anyways. Staff are friendly which is always a plus.

Great Location
Great location, underground close by. Hotel staff very nice. My sister & husbands double room was ridicilous. There was no room to turn around. They have large wardrobes taking up half the room instead of a built in few bars. Guests are noisy as there is no insulation.

A good budget hotel
I'm an American business traveler, and stayed here for 5 days in the spring. I was surprised to get a full sized bed vs the normal twin. Size of the room was not bad at all for London. Wifi was free, unlike many other hotels. Convenient to Queensway and the Central Line. Can be a little noisy at night out on the street. I was there in April, so I ran the heat a little, but I do not recall if it was A/C'd. Nice hotel bar with HD tv's for relaxation. I would recommend over the others in a 2 block radius. Area is VERY touristy.

Great Stay
This was my first trip to England and I had a wonderful time. I was at Hyde Park Towers for 9 nights and was very comfortable there. I stayed in room 307 which was pretty cozy. It had a single bed and a tiny bathroom, but was spotless and had lovely down bedding and plushy towels. Sometimes the small luxurious things make up for being in small spaces. I absolutely loved the staff at Hyde Park Towers. They were very friendly and made you feel very comfortable. I was a little disappointed that their shuttle service to and from the airport had been discontinued as that is one of the reasons I booked this hotel. My only other complaint was that it was a little noisy just because it's an old building and you can hear everything that goes on in the hallway....including the faint elevator ding every time the "lift" stopped on the third floor. I thought that was somewhat ridiculous since my room was quite far from the elevator. For the most part, I had to wear earplugs to get any sleep, but that was primarily due to people talking while traipsing through the halls. Everything else was pretty wonderful for the price. The included breakfast in the morning was always fresh and delicious. I ordered dinner a few nights at the hotel and that was amazing! I loved the lounge attached to the lobby where you could have drinks and visit with people. The location is right down the street from the Bayswater station for the tube, which was wonderful for getting around. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.
