the most impossible bathroom even seen
Although this hotel will have everything for a three or four star rating, the bathroom was the most impossible one we ever had. The washbasin was tiny and hardly usable. The toilet was squeezed between bathtub and wall, but hardly usable for grown ups. You had to spoil huge amounts of water before it became warm (about fifteen minutes running before it started to be luke-warm). The warm/cold indications at the tap of the tiny waterbasin were wrong. Pay TV did not work, so we could not enjoy the movies after an enjoyable day in the city.

London Book Fair-Earls Court
A minute's walk from Gloucester Road subway station. An excellent location from and to Heathrow (Piccadilly Line), to and from Earls Court fair grounds (one stop); indeed to and from anywhere in London. Extremely tiny room and washroom; very uncomfortable. The closet is very thin, yet filled with an iron, ironing board, pants press, hair dryer (which neither were ever used), yet there is no room to hang any clothes or even to use the only little shelf available. The dresser had an electric kettle with coffee and mugs, as well as a fridge; again no room to put a thing. ** Check if breakfast is included in rate before booking **. Although some reviews praise breakfast as being included, and its quality , online booking may not give you the option of the rate being with or without breakfast. If you assume that it is included, you may be very surprised at check-in that you have to pay a lot for it (i.e. if you want). Many good food alternatives are provided in the several nearby restaurants and stores.

Disappointing
The rooms were certainly not up to standards with Radisson. My second main concern was parking, as stated on the website outdoor parking was available, however it was not mentioned that it did not belong to the hotel rather normal London parking which cost us £35 a day for parking, a ridiculous price whilst a much cheaper hotel across the street with good standards had free parking. The overall impression was disappointing and not worth the ridiculous amount charged.

Not spectacular
We had a 4th floor room facing Cromwell Street, and it was remarkably quiet. The double windows cut out most of the street noise. The location, a block from Gloucester Road tube station, is excellent, with access to the Circle, District and Picadilly lines, for an easy ride to tourist destinations and SoHo. The room itself was tiny. The bed barely fit sideways in front of the window, with less than a foot's clearance at the end of it. The entire room was probably 7' x 15', including the en suite and closet. No space to put the suitcase, no desk. We're talking very small. Free wireless in the hotel, but it often lost the connection. The elevator claims to hold 5 people, but realistically only 4 would fit. There are only two elevators in the entire block-long building, so waits for a lift can be very long. During the day the housekeeping staff use the same lifts for their carts, so it's not uncommon to wait several minutes for the elevator, only to have it show up and be full. Oh, and the doors take about a half minute to open once you have reached your floor. The hotel staff are fond of reciting that this is a 4-star hotel, but this should be taken as an indication that stars are given out for a checklist of features, not overall quality. I would rate it 3/5. It does have a small exercise room that is adequate for a traveler's needs.

La Liaison doesn't look like much, but is an excellent place for breakfast or lunch. Just around the corner from the tube station, the proprietors [...] and [...] serve up a reasonably priced full English, or delicious scrambled eggs on baguette, with melted cheese and tomato. (I hear their egg mayo is great, too.) They have a loyal clientele of flight crews, local businesspeople, taxi drivers, and tourists.

Good Hotel, Small Rooms
Overall this is a great hotel. Clean, friendly staff and wonderful location. The rooms are tiny however, but I guess thats just what you get with London.

Nice Hotel
Overall it was a nice hotel for its value. Corridors were a little narrow and maze-like. Elevator was small and too long a wait at times I ended up taking the stairs most of the time. Wish there were bureau drawers for clothes. I don't like living in a suitcase. Good thing the closet was big enough and had a lot of hangers. Our room was at the back so it was quiet even with the windows open. It's a fantastic location though. The Tube was right there. It's a one-line ride to and from Heathrow, if you don't mind the 45-minute ride. It's not in the heart of Picadilly so it's peaceful at night. There are 2 grocery stores to choose from if you're on a budget. The 17 pound breakast price tag is a tad pricey, but thank goodness there's a Starbucks and another good French cafe nearby. Lots of restaurants to choose from too. Kensington/Hyde park is close enough if you want to go on a morning jog. If it rains, there is a gym in the basement. I'd recomment this for the location and the area. But on our last day, around the corner I saw The Montana Hotel, 55 pounds a night!!! It seems to be in a comparable building so I'd check that out too. A heck of a lot cheaper.

Nice place in nice location
Nice, easily accessible hotel. Just a short walk from Gloucester Rd. tube station. I reserved a single and got a twin. It was large enough for me, but would be a challenge for a couple with luggage. Overall, my stay was nice and uneventful - I was mostly out and didn't use the restaurant or the fitness center. My observations (not complaints) - rooms are small comparing to US Radissons, bathrooms are also a tad small - tub takes up most of it and the toilet is wedged behind the sink. But over all I liked the friendly staff, reasonable price and accessibility.

Lovely, Clean Hotel with a Great Staff
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful The hotel was spotless clean, and the included breakfast was really terrific, with many offerings...eggs, sausage, bacon meats, fresh fruit, cereal, etc. Aside from the small bathroom (which I think is fairly typical in London), I would have nothing but praise for this hotel. Would highly recommend it.

If this is your first trip to London, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend taking a tour when you arrive. We took the Total London Experience, and it was great. Got to see many of the sights we would have missed if just on our own.

Great location and staff
The hotel was in a great location (across from a tube station) and the staff was extremely helpful. Our room was upgraded to a king bed at check-in, was very clean and had a great view. Our only negative comment about the room is that is was a long way from the elevator - this Radisson is a string of townhouses and our room was located in the farthest corner from the elevator. Our full breakfast which was included with the room was very good. Do not eat at the hotel restaurant - too many better places in the neighborhood.

Radisson Edwardian Vanderbilt Hotel
The rooms were clean and quite. Large enough for Europe. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The included breakfast was excellent and the hostess and her staff were outstanding. One of the service desk staff had difficutly with English (or my English) when we first arrived but did not encounter him again afterwards. All others were native and were very accommodating. I still gave staff a "5".

Enjoyed "Paul" French bakery across from tube station. Excellent mocha, pastries, and sandwiches. Their coffees put Starbucks to shame.
