The RE Hotel London Shoreditch, the latest addition to Londons fashionable East-End, is just one mile (8 minutes) from the financial district "The City" and Liverpool Street Station - ideal for Stansted and City Airports and just 15 minutes from the Olympics 2012 venue. With air-conditioning throughout, rooms offer the latest technologies and are designed with care and attention to detail to satisfy you, the environment and global concerns (coffee, chocolate, tea & biscuits in your room are fair-trade items). There is a choice of Continental Breakfast at a cost of 5.50 per person or Full English Breakfast, at a cost of 9.50 per person. Did the trick

Hotel was very comfortable, had a nice meal the first night in the bar/restaurant, room well cleaned daily. Nice quiet stay & close to my daughter's which ticked all the boxes for me. Probably not the best of places to wander the streets at night but where is? Did the trick for me on this occasion but was a tad expensive - would have expected breakfast included at the price.

Excellent Affordable London Hotel

This is not a central London hotel, and it's not near any major sites. It's also a 15+min walk from the nearest tube station (Benthal Green). Having said that, this is an excellent hotel. London hotels are a mixed bag. Most in this price range are dilapidated, in old buildings not meant to act as hotels. The Days Hotel is new construction, very clean and well kept. I got a room whose window faced the interior of the building. While my view was only of other windows (30 or so feet away), and not of some cute London street, the room was amazing quiet, and I slept more sound than I've ever slept in a city, and I live in a city. The staff is very helpful and attentive. Internet is an extra charge, but 20 pounds/week is really not that bad, and a common charge at hotels these days, and the connection is fast. If you're someone who is already familiar with London, and wants to stay away from the throngs of tourists, this hotel would be an excellent choice.

Hotel Review

I did not like the menu selection or the food. Also it would have been nice to have information on restaurants close by.. e.g Chinese, Indian, Fish and Chip locations. There was nothing showing eatig places... or even attractions nearby
