Royal Cambridge Hotel is housed within two charming Victorian townhouses in Sussex Gardens, conveniently located in the heart of London at Paddington. The hotel is ideal for both business and leisure travelers and easily accessible to the business districts, famous shopping streets, theatres, parks, and other popular tourist attractions in London, England. The area is also a food lovers heaven, located amongst a multitude of restaurants, delis, and cafes offering the quintessential British pub food to the more exotic Middle Eastern and Asian fare. Edgeware Road - famous for its kebabs - is a mere 10-minute walk away and just down the street are two Malaysian halal restaurants serving local Malaysian favourites.

Promised amenities lacking

The site clearly indicated this motel provided an airport shuttle and internet. There was no airport shuttle. The airport was easy to access by metro, which cost about $50 from the airport. I would not have been disappointed if the description had simple been more truthful. When I requested a wi-fi connection, I found it was available for about $8 (5 pounds). Breakfast was not available until 0800, well after I needed to be out. At least there was a water heater in the room and coffee and tea available. This was the smallest and hottest room I ever stayed in. I thought I would open the window, only to find that it opened into another part of the hotel.

not good

Stayed one week there, poor room service, "continental breakfast" is a boiled egg there and staff serving breakfast are very rude, elevator is very old, definitely not a 3 stars hotel and not cheap for its conditions, only its distance close to Paddington station is nice...

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel.

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The room is quite small but the location makes up for it. Everything from food(halal), shopping are just round the corner. All the famous shopping district(Oxford st, picadilly circus) are within walking distances or you could just take the buses there. One can also buy tour bus tickets from nearby shops to visit all the tourist attractions. Would stay here again.

Most of the facilities provided

Most of the facilities provided in the room were broken. Breakfast was lousy. It was the worst breakfast I took in England. The only average of this hotel is location. Obviously, this hotel is over-priced.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in

I had to change rooms once because of the squalid conditions, the next room was still awful but better. The price was expensive with zero service. This htoel should not be considered a 3 star.

It's ok

I visited all the majour sites of London. The hotel was just a quick bus ride to everything. Lots of resturants to choose from right outside the hotel. I wish the rooms were bigger and more counter space in the bathroom.
