Family reunion

While the room was clean & the bed comfy it lacked storage space for clothing, no drawers etc. There was no wash cloth in the bathroom, no phone (in case of a medical emergency), no clock. The AC did not work (a fan was supplied). The Continental Breakfast was fair, no change up, same thing every day & the staff rushed us out at 10 am on the nose, cleaning off the table before we were finished. While I enjoyed the trip I don't think I will book at Travelodge again.

Not a hotel

This is not a hotel. It is like an inexpensive motel. The were no towels or soap in the room. The room was barely big enough to turn around in. Our luggage filled all available space. The room had a musty smell. Because the reception area is above ground level we had to pull our luggage up a ramp. They did assist with that. The free wifi is for 30 minutes after which the change is 3£ per 24 hours. The breakfast is adequate and reasonably priced at 7.65£. I would say it is not worth 115£ per night. .

Excellent location for theatre goers

Nice hotel located in West End. Good connections to West End theaters. We ended up going to see Wicked near Victoria station, and there were good bus connection there as well. Also reaching Heathrow was easy by tube. Also if you fancy some movie/game merchandising, Forbidden Planet nearby has excellent selection.

An excellent choice for the price

If you are looking for an inexpensive West End hotel close to theaters and museums, this is it. It's quite inexpensive for central London, so there are NO extra amenties - no room service, no hair dryer, no tissue; but the basement room we had was clean and quiet. More importantly, we could walk to everything we wanted to do. If you don't want to walk, Covent Garden tube stop is nearby.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Go to the Bristish Museum when it opens in the morning. It's less crowded then.

Not the greatest

I stayed in this hotel because I needed to leave the country due to an emergency and needed a hotel to stay 1 night and not break the bank. I needed to be close to the tube so I could leave early in the morning by foot. The hotel was the cheapest I could find and it served its purpose. The hotel smelled of mildew/body odor throughout -- including my room. Other than the very offensive smell, the room was tidy but sparse. Not even a landline phone to call the desk. My hot water did not work -- the water was ice cold even after 20 minutes of running and fiddling with the knob, but I was in such a hurry in the morning I didn't have time to walk down to reception to tell them about it. There were lots of shops and restaurants around the area so I think it was a nice location although I didn't stay long enough to find out.The food in the cafe was absolutely the worst I have ever had and expensive for such poor quality. The soup tasted straight from the can and the burger was obviously frozen and microwaved. Even the bread tasted stale. The staff was friendly enough, though. Truly, if it had not been an emergency, I would have checked out immediately.

Fantastic Family Getaway

Overall service was awesome!!!! From when we checked in until we left. Anything we needed it was given! I asked for directions to the closest place to print an email and they printed it at the hotel for free! All the staff were informative and polite-I don't remember all the names, but Ty was very helpful. The High Holburn hotel was in the best location, we walked everywhere! I would stay here again!
