Caution
Expectations were not high as we booked an economy hotel on a race weekend. HOWEVER, I did expect that the booking/reservation would be held as booked thru Orb. #1) At check in the desk clerk indicated we had already checked in--we had not even been to the property. #2) The desk clerk indicated we had reserved and woudl be charged for 2 nights, we had resreved only 1; she made the adjustement after seeing email confirmation on smartphone. #3) We were charged an amount over that which was stated in the Orb booking. #3 was not resolved by hotel staff/management.

Different
The air conditioning didnt work properly. It was either hot or cold, no inbetween. The hot water in the shower did not get hot until I was ready to exit the shower and the hotel did not have any extra towels or sheets. Overall it was a terrible experience.

FABULOUS STAFF
Great for the price!! We went to the races at Talladega for the weekend and it was only a ten to fifteen minute drive to the track depending on traffic!!! The staff was absolutely wonderful - extremely friendly and helpful!! Don't expect the Ritz when you book at a Motel 6 - just wish that there was a refrigerator in the rooms.

2 points BELOW bad!
This motel is good only for drunks, druggies, and homeless dogs. Was not clean, had NONE of the amenties listed, and was even dirty underwear hanging in the bathroom.

Rates were more than doubled due to Talladega race, which would not have been bad if room was nice. This room smelled, the beds were not made when we checked in, no TP, and no pillow cases. I would not stay at this hotel again, unless there was no other available. At $94 a night, there should have been much more, they did not have net unless paid extra, no coffee pot, nothing.
