They were off
I've stayed at this hotel many times but for some reason this time wasn't happy with the front desk help. I got there early and looked to see if I can get an early check in and the man at the desk was rude and said he didnt even have my reservation. Didn't try and help to see what the issue was and waved me away. I called the booking company immediately and they took care of it and upgraded me to king suite. Its a great location to be at but staff that day was a downer.

My daughter and I spend a couple of nights in the Carlsbad area 3-4 times a year. This was by far the BEST !! We will be coming back to this Best Western again This hotel is across the street from the Ocean !!. Our room had a fridge, and microwave. a mini kitchen WITH sink!. the beds were comfy and the pillows were better than mine at home . the staff were so friendly and the Free breakfast was terrific.

a short walk and you are in the heart of Carlsbad. smoothies , and lots of places to have a yummy lunch .

great location and great price
Staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean. The second floor deck was great. The breakfast buffet didn't restock food very quickly and tended to shut down early, but was otherwise okay. Overall a great place. I would definitely stay there again!

Great Location! Friendly Staff.
We love this location and have stayed at this Best Western many times over the years. They always try to do their best to accomodate us even when some of our online reservations weren't always 100% correct through other services. They are always our first choice for accomodations in Carlsbad!

Great location, nice hotel
The hotel was very nice and clean, great location in walking distance to the town, restaurants, bars etc. Loved the sun deck, great views of the ocean. Nice breakfast provided every morning. Would defintely stay here again.

Pizza Port is fantastic. Lots of excellent taps of beer made just down the road at port brewing (san marcos, CA) and good pizza. during happy hour you can get a slice of pizza, a salad, and a beer for about 7$.

Good motel, great location
Nice midrange motel with helpful staff. Right across street from beach access. Noisy at night in room with traffic and pedestrian sounds, all through the night. Not a quiet spot.

Perfect beach location, comfortable
Pros: Great location-across the street from the beach. Comfortable beds, quiet rooms. Nice to have frig. and microwave with small kitchen. Walking distance to many restaurants and shopping areas. Cons: I was billed initially for 2 nights when only one night was reserved on-line. Problem was corrected.
