TownePlace Suites by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Manhattan Beach

I would not call 1 large room a suite. It was a large room with a comfortable bed. The shower had a long hair in it I found behind the shower curtain the 2nd day I was there, I was alone and have short hair, so not sure how well they clean. Must be a popular place as parking was scarce on the weekend.

Had a nice little overnight trip. The daughter was flying out of LAX at the crack of dawn so decided to go down early. The hotel itself was very nice. Staff was willing to help with anything. Reading some of the other reviews I could see how traffic noise could be a problem, but luckily for us it was a Sat morning. Know one thing if you do decide to take your pet there is a there is an extra charge and it's not cheap. The rooms were excellent thought, if I was planning on staying a few nights I would pick this again.

Great location near LAX. Very quite and nice. Good continental breakfast. The rooms are big, but not enough for three persons, as I had expected when I booked a seperate sleeping-sofa. Apart from this it was a very nice stay, unfortunately just for an overnight. Our room was already occupied, but the staff was very nice and handled this mistake very professionally. Before our plane departed we did a drive "LA in 4 hours" - the hotel is a perfect start and finish for this.

First and foremost the staff was wonderful, very friendly and very willing to make guests comfortable. There was brkfast in the morning. Tea and coffee was served in the lobby all the time, which was a nice bonus. The carpet throughout was dirty, and the sofa in the room was dirty as well. Free parking, lots of parking. Free internet via ethernet cable supplied in room. Location was fine, about a 30 min drive to downtown LA. Lots of food & shopping in the area. Area was quiet and peaceful for the most part.

The hotel is located right on a very busy corner. Our room was on the first floor and was located right next to a busy steet. There was so much traffic noise that it was difficult to sleep. I would not stay here again.

RESTAURANTS,GROCERY STORES NEARBY. MOVIE THEATRE NEARBY. VERY GOOD LOCATION FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BE AT THE BEACH BUT NEAR THE HOTEL.

I asked for a room that was away from other travelers...I was placed in a room that had travelers on both sides, as well as all the way down the hall. There were plenty of rooms on upper floors that were vacant. The room was VERY small to be called a suite. I happened to get the room @ a discount, but there is no way I would have paid the regular price for that room. Small TV that couldnt be watched from the bed. No DVD player...isnt this a marriot???

Was used mainly for quiet sleep/rest. Work-out and pool areas could have been larger-but were adequate. This was one of the better spots to stay.

We stayed there because we wanted to be close to Hollywood Park (where they have horse races). It was a great find, friendly staff, clean spacious rooms. There is nothing bad I can say about this hotel. We didn't get a chance to the pool or the gym, but they both looked good (although I found it a little strange that the pool had was facing the parking lot). Either way, great hotel!
