Great priced hotel in a unique location

I was very satisfied with our stay here. The hotel is in a fantastic location -close to downtown L.A. and in the great Little Tokyo area. Hotel was within walking distance to lots of Japanese restaurants and shops. The room itself was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and there's a great cafe and gift shop inside. The only downside was the parking. You can have valet parking for like $20 a day or you could do the self parking for about $17. The self parking was a bit annoying b/c you have to take an elevator to the garage and the elevator was soooo slow. You could take the stairs but they are dark and smelly. Other than that, I'd definitely stay here again.

Miyako hotel was an excellent

Miyako hotel was an excellent choice for downtown LA. It was right next to Tokyo Square which had a good variety of Japanese Food and a small selection of boutique shops. The Metro was only two blocks away and was enroute via a food market (that's only held on Thursdays). The staff there were polite and friendly, taking the time to recommend us things to do and places to eat. A really enjoyable stay and great value for money.

Miyako Hotel Los Angeles

The hotel location was not in a good location. Although the room itself was descent and clean. However, I was very disappointed of the outcome for the reason being that I paid the rate of the executive accommodation but was placed on a step lower. My room accommodation expectation was very disappointing.

Disappointed

I would not stay here again. First of all they would not validate parking, your choices were a public parking garage for $16 dollars a day or valet parking for $18 dollars a day. Second Their continental breakfast which was basic, a pastry, juice, coffee, that cost $7.95. Third if you wanted to use the pool or the gym they charged you a fee of $20 dollars. I think orbitz needs to be aware of these things and inform people about them prior to customers booking their hotel reservations!!!!!!!!

Great Value

The Miyako Hotel Los Angeles was quite comfortable, the room was pretty spacious with free internet. Location wise the hotel is suitable for people seeking business in downtown LA. The best part I liked, the bidet toilets, reminded of my stay in Japan, quite comfortable :).

Great location

I really enjoyed the location. I loved all the Japanese cuisine in the neighborhood and the grocery store close by has amazing things. I would love to have tried out the spa in the hotel but was on a budget.
