The Westin Los Angeles Airport

When booking the reservation, I should have been made aware there was free hotel shuttle from and to the airport. Instead, I paid for a shuttle service that I ended up not needing and not using. The wake up call I asked for never came. Turned out neither of the two phones in the room worked, which i discovered when I tried to place a call the night before I left. This should have been discovered by hotel staff when (if) they tried to place a wake up call my first morning there. The room was a bit shabby...peeling edging on the counters, chipped edges and scratched surfaces. Other than that the hotel stay was fine. Comfortable bed and good maid service.

My boyfriend and I decided to take a trip and we wanted something relaxing but also wanted to see the sights in the area. The location of this hotel was very convenient in regards to proximity of the airport which was nice for late flights. It was a fair distance from everything else though so if you are looking for a lot of night life and walking around town, you will need to drive there or take a cab. When we arrived at the hotel fairly late, we just wanted to get to bed. [...] For the money that you pay for this hotel, you should get more amenities than you do. There is no fridge or microwave, and they charge $18 per day for parking. All of these, in my mind, should be included in your hotel stay when you are paying for quality. The name though does not bring the quality that you think it should. Overall we had a fun time but we will definitely do more research next time and book things separately instead of as a package deal. The Westin is a nice place to stay if you are not at all concerned about money.

For the price, the hotel was so-so. Front desk staff (3 in number) were over-whelmed with checking in a long line of guests at 9:30 PM! At least one guest was quite upset, but the staff were not very courteous to him.

I did enjoy my stay, but I do think that the prices for room service are too high. The prices are high to begin with then it's 16% gratuity, $4.00 delivery, 9.75% tax, then they expect an additional gratuity?? I sure hope that someone takes a good look at this before business travel tanks altogether.

I had conference there this past weekend. There were not enough bathrooms to accomodate 1000+ people. The trip was other wise good with clean rooms, but you could hear amibient noise through the doors. Good showers and baths with large screen HD TV. It was difficult to get to LA itself as the only options was a tsxi or a limo which cost $60 each way. Public transportation not consistent. Airport Shuttle was consistent and great! This is a great location whcih served the purchase since conference was @ the hotel. If you want to be in LA and go to the attractions you will need a car or be in the city center and use the metro so one dies not have to deal with parking!

Location was suitable for the purpose of the trip that was "near Airport daily meetings". However Parking should have been included in the rate which was not.

Everything was fine besides the sub-charges for parking, internet, fitness room, etc. Had I known it was a $22/day charge for parking, I would have stayed elsewhere.
