Wilshire Grand Los Angeles

the room is very clean and neat, quiet enviroment, great location, the Metro Subway station is just across the street. Safe neigborhood. good service

This is a large hotel in the downtown area of Los Angeles. Its walking distance to the Disney Concert Hall and Staples Center. The room was clean and a good size. The downstairs restaurant makes the best ever garlic bread, so be sure to try it. The neighborhood is deserted on weekends and after dark - no places to eat or shop except for 7/11's. I wouldn't recommend venturing outside after dark. The area is well serviced by public transport with an express bus running right to Santa Monica Pier, which takes about 1 hour.

Nice hotel, but I got charged $8.00 to park while checking in. Check in took all of 10 minutes. They wanted to charge $30 a day to park at the hotel when there was parking across the street for $7 per day. If you stay here, park across the street to check in and during your stay; it will save you a lot of money.

Our stay was overnight on the 12th floor, we were pleased that we checked in without hassles after a long trip. Very clean and centrally located to bus & Metro.

Wilshire grand is located at the East end of Wilshire Blvd. It is 15 minutes from museum row and a half hour from the beach. It is in the financial district, a boring location but safe and convenient to the 10 and 110 freeways. The hotel is super clean and friendly in a somewhat impersonal way. Cocktails are about 9.00 and parking is 35.00 per day with unlimited in and out. Very clean, very modern and a welcome respite from the streets of LA... The garage does a super job...Glad we stayed there and would go again.

The hotel experience was very positive. After all the average reviews that I read, I wasnt sure what to expect when checking in so I prepared for the worst and was pleasantly surprised. I arrived at 10:30 AM into LA and went to the hotel, they werent very busy so they allowed me to check in early. The room that i got had two double beds so it was very spacious. It also had two bathrooms and a lounge suit which was nice. It had 50 inch flat screen tv with lots of channels. Free wifi in the rooms was also available and they have a reasonable fitness centre but you can also use the gym across the road for no extra cost. I didnt eat at the hotel so I dont know what the food is like, the staff were friendly and the place was clean. Over all I had a very good experience for the money that I paid ($67 + taxes). There were small issues with the temp regulation of the water in the shower , the general temp of the room but nothing major.

I was disappointed to find out that they did not have my reservation. It took the manager about 25 minutes to "find it" even though I was giving him the confirmation from Orbitz. For the most part, the hotel was good. The staff was friendly. My only other concern is that the hotel is a bit on the older side. If you get a good deal, it's worth staying here. But there is a $35 parking fee!!!

My stay was flawless. I must admit, I didn't know what to expect, but that changed after I entered the hotel. The staff was great!! I've stayed in hotels all over the world and I've never had this type of service in a hotel in the States. Keep up the good work!!
