Wilshire Grand Los Angeles

It cost 30.00 a day for parking and the room smelled, the linen was not clean. The TV was a 19inch and the picture was terrible. Tried to use the internet and it was not working, but they wanted to charge me for the attempt. The room was small and the bathroom was even smaller. I will never stay in this hotel again and do not recommend it to anyone.

Horrible beds. Dirty bathrooms, carpet and beds. Noisy at night and you can hear people talking through the walls.

Not worth it unless you need the location and the price is under $100.

The Wilshire Grand was a joke. The maids walked into my room without knocking TWICE and then I was disturbed by a knocking maid once. Prices for food were outrageous and by the way the Hotel Staff acted, things like losing important information and maids walking in unexpected were normal occurences. I do not reccomend it. Do not be fooled by the fancy lobby; the rooms are downright shabby.

Definitely not a family friendly hotel, but would be fine for a business stay. Movies didn't work, room was blah.

Although the Wilshire Grand is obviously a prominent hotel in downtown LA, it's not one that I will return to. Although the room itself was large, there wasn't anything extra in it such as a sofa or coffee table, just a desk/vanity area with a chair. The beds were the hardest, most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on, my daughter actually slept on the floor and was just as comfortable (or uncomfortable) as we were. The TV was so small I couldn't even see it well from my bed. The bathroom was literally the size of a small closet, you could barely move around in there. The decor was rather drab and cold feeling, no warmth or coziness at all. Other than the room itself, there wasn't much that I cared for. The pool area was pretty but there was no service out there for drinks, food, etc. that we ever saw even though there were tables set up; the bar area that was just inside next to the pool area never seemed to be open. Parking was $30 per day which seemed exhorbitant to me.

The Wilshire Grand was gorgeous upon entering..in a great safe area..close to all amenities..we found it clean and the rooms were kept clean. However the hotel is in great need of updating..the furniture is old and run down. We have never slept in a more uncomfortable bed it was like sleeping on cardboard on the floor. We had to ask for new pillows and an extra blanket...we were not able to control the air and found it too be quite cold in the room. The rooms were made bigger by eliminating a wall in each of the rooms in the whole hotel so we had two bathrooms two closets etc.. The room was old and musty smelling and the carpet was pretty bad..damaged with a lot of stains and ripped in areas. The pool was nice and heated as well and open 24 hours. We had plenty of towels and the showers worked great. No complaints on the staff or check-in. Our check-in time was 3:00 however we arrived around 1:00pm and were able to check in. Our experience in one of the restaurants was excellent no complaints there. Overall our experience was good other than the hotel needs a lot of updating which I'm sure with that will come new beds.

Offered half price if we booked two nights, had many choices of hotels in downtown LA but thought we would take advantage of offer. got there and they had to "find us a room" even though it was paid in advance. We waited awhile then went to our room. Very small, smelled, dirty carpet, 13 inch tv from the 70s all for $200. a nite. Felt we were baited and switched.

The walls are paper thin. The rooms are in need of an update.

I had intially booked my stay for two nights, athough I could only last one night at the Wilshire. The hotel room was just a little larger then a broom closet, and there was hair all in the shower when I arrived in the room. The only positive thing about the hotel is their hotel bar/restaurant.
