Humphreys Half Moon Inn & Suites

The staff was friendly and welcoming. Before I arrived, I called to make sure they knew I would be arriving late, and the girl who answered the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. Room service was prompt, and all staff I came in contact with went out of their way to help me with whatever I needed. The room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely return!

A convienient headquarters for exploring San Diego, we found the Half Moon Inn a delight. We enjoy walking and Shelter Island is a pleasant strip to walk. What we really loved was the lounge and the blues music it featured the week we were there. A nice drink and dance to top off our touristy day.

Walls were paper thin you could HEAR and SMELL everything going on around you. Our door was a security concern because it didn't close behind you, you had to lift up to open versus down. Great weekend otherwise, food was awesome, pool was huge, Jacuzzi was huge. Nice location and staff was very very nice.

We found this to be a very good deal for what we paid. We were only sleeping at the hotel and while we were very disappointed initially at the location of the room, across from the ice machine, bordering on the vending machines and facing the parking lot, it was immaculate and served our purpose well. The decor was nice, the room had recently been renovated and it showed. Good size, comfortable pillows and bed. We did have a small patio area surrounded by tall plantings that gave a bit of privacy from the parking lot. The grounds were beautiful. I would definitely stay here again and at the great price we got, the room was definitely a good value.

We stayed here while in San Diego for my sons graduation from Marine Corp boot camp. The good: The grounds were nice, clean and very scenic. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable. The service was friendly. Free Wi-Fi. The restaurant had marvelous margarita's and friendly staff and the happy hour food hit the spot. The price was comparable to similar places in the area. The "bad": Having to pay $10 a night to park my car seems odd. Never heard of this fee in the midwest. I guess I'm going to have to get to work on my teleportation device. The overall cleanliness of the room suited my needs as a male. My wife noticed that it could use a good dusting though. Overall: Quite happy with our stay. No major complaints and wouldn't have a problem recommending it to others. We stayed in a Garden View room on the ground floor.

The hotel is lovely - right across the street from the bay and in front of a yacht marina. The rooms are very nice, and the staff is wonderful. The pool and spa are great. All around a wonderful hotel. We will definitely stay there again and again.

The upgraded room toward center may not have been worth extra, as it made the patio not too private next to the pool and table play area. Celing webs above inside door and on ceiling. Doors don't feel totally private or sealed, with a good half inch gap at bottom and light thru sides. Overall clean, no bugs, and free bikes were great. Would stay again.

Great location with park strip and sidewalk that ran along one side of the bay. The restaurant had a gorgeous view. Pool area was nice, but the hot tub had stains that made it appear dirty. The room smelled funny.

we were very pleased with our stay. the location is the most ideal for proximity to all venues. we had aroom facing the bay with a terrace we were able to watch the ships come and go. the restaurants were very good and the staff couldnt be nicer. the lounge was a great diversion. all in all our trip was fantastic.
