Good Value
Room clean. Bed and pillows not that great, but we were only there for one evening. If you want a great romantic dinner in the area, the Harris Restaurant is only a block away. Even though we were not dressed appropriately for the establishment, the staff was very friendly and food excellent. Back to the hotel. We could hear the people above us, but wasn't that big a deal. Best part = free parking on the premises.

Good location
This is a very basic hotel. It is fine if you are only sleeping and showering and not spending time in the room. The breakfast consists of nutrigrain bars, muffins, and coffee with non-dairy creamer.

My review of Castle Inn
The hotel staff was amazing! Upon arrival the front desk staff oriented us to the surroundings and allowed us to check in quickly. The hotel is very central to everything. The parking is free! The hotel is older and needs to be updated and renovated, but it is clean and has space.

Free Parking!
Last minute booking, great rate. They did charge, then refund $25 to my credit cart as deposit. Free parking was tight - but free parking at a great rate can not be beat. Room was OK, no luxury, but great for my stay.

Well done!
Check in was easy and so very helpful--the lady who checked us in gave us fantastic sightseeing information. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and pleasant. Rooms were comfy and clean.

great value
did not know what to expect never having stayed in San Francisco before. The hotel was much better than I expected. The woman at the check in desk was THE BEST. She must have spent 15 minutes with us giving us tips on where to go and how to get there. our room was very clean, which I appreciated so much. The parking was FREE which could save you up to $50 a night if staying somewhere else. Would definitely stay here again. We parked car and walked everywhere. The waterfront and piers were probably a 20 minute walk. Great bars just down at the corner. had a blast in SF

take the open air bus city tour. The hop on hop off bus. We got a two day pass and really saw everything. The tour guides were really good also.

Great Value
This small, clean motel is a great value. If you're interested in spending your money on food and entertainment, instead of a fancy pool, spa and lobby area, this motel is for you. It is close to Fisherman's Wharf and many fine restaurants. We had a rental car, so the free parking was definitely a plus for us. The staff was very friendly and informative. We really had no complaints.

Walk to the Wharf and take a cab home. It's all uphill going back to the motel. The cable car is fun for one time, but very expensive. The cab was cheaper for the 3 of us.

Polk Street around the corner is a great little area, look up Nick's Crispy Taco on corner Broadway & Polk. Also about 2 or 3 blocks down on Polk st there is a great Patisserie, good coffee & food (sorry can't remember the name - it's a blue building)

I very much enjoyed my stay at the castle inn. I was on vacation and was spending most of my time around the city and surrounding areas so did not spend much time at the hotel except to sleep. This was perfect because the hotel has free parking which is amazing for this city. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and accomadated us well. It is also at a vey good location right off van ness which we used as our main road to get around and I is one of the main roads in the city. I would recomendthos hotel and will definatly stay there when I returnto San Francisco.

Great Location
Our hotel was in a great spot. It was quiet and within walking distance to a lot of restuarants and coffee shops. It was near bus routes needed to travel the city. The room was clean and a good size.
