Kensington Park Hotel

The location was fantastic and the staff was very friendly. The housekeeping staff kept everything very tidy, and we were impressed with this boutique hotel overall. One complaint is that the hotel has no air conditioning (apparently not uncommon for San Francisco) but did not advertise this. It was only an issue on the 1st day (the end of an unusual heat wave) and we were very comfortable for the remainder of the trip, as the window opens and there is also a powerful ceiling fan. Unfortunately, the front desk advised us on the first evening that they would send up another fan and that never happened. Overall though, I would recommend this hotel. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were well-appointed. It was a great centralized Union Square location and cable cars are available a 1/2 block away.

Nicely located hotel for shoppers. Rooms are neat and tidy. Staff are very friendly and quick to lend a helping hand. If travelling in groups or two or more from the hotel to the SF airport, take a taxi and skip the bus service recommended by the hotel. The bus is more expensive per head than other similar service providers. It also has to make several stops before going to the airport.

Price with location is the best, easy to go anywhere. Staff, especially the guy at front desk before 7am is very friendly and helpful, THANK YOU.

We came to SF to get away acouple of days, do some shopping and dine at new locations. The hotel staff was excellent even before our arrival -super courteous and attentive. Can't wait to stay here again -I think it's our new SF favorite.

Easy check in, helpful staff

Perfect location, Outstanding shopping right outside your door. Also outside your door step you can catch a cable car and go to Pier 39,China Town, & Fishermen's Wharf. You can easily walk to China town without walking up a big hill. close to little Italy and great restaurants. You are right in the middle of the Theaters section. On an on and on.

Having stayed in the Union Square area before, I was pleased to find that this hotel was so spacious. Many of the remodeled older hotels feel very cramped. It was a wee bit noisy due to automatic doors that tended to slam but on the whole a very pleasant stay. The staff was extremely helpful. I would stay here again. I was pleased to be high up in the hotel and would probably suggest that when booking directly. We used the valet service and found that easy.

Would have loved a place in hotel to eat in.

The staff was cheerful and helpful from the concierge to the housecleaning staff.
