Stately boutique hotel near Union Square
Considering its name and the British flag flying out front, it's no surprise that the King George Hotel near San Francisco's Union Square district has a decidedly European flair. Decorative touches are subtle but continue this theme: chess boards in every room, coats of arms, and more. All guests receive complimentary Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet access. Everyone was friendly, the rooms were clean and the hotel was in a good location. I would recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again.

Great find
This was a great deal. Great location in Union Square. The rooms were very clean, the hotel staff was friendly and while it was a bit noisy at the beginning of the night, it quickly quieted down and we had a restful sleep. Walking distance to alot of the tourist attractions including the Powell/Mason cable car and BART.

Alot of different and great restaurants just a short walk from the hotel. There was a 24 hr diner on the corner where we had a good breakfast.

It was pleasant. The hotel was clean, the staff was courteous, and it was centrally located to my conference. The rooms were a bit small, something to consider if sharing a room. I'd also avoid a room facing the alley, and try to get a room on the highest floor you can (to help diminish street noise).

Saggy Bed

No suprises
The King George Hotel was in a GREAT location - close to the cable cars, union square, and many nice bars and restaurants. The rooms were small, but clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and were able to answer questions easily. I would definitely stay here again.
