Great Views
Hotel Oceana has a great location. I used to live in Santa Barbara so it was great coming back. The price was great fro the location. My room was a great size and very cute. I would definitely come back if the price was the same!

Pleasant Visit
Hotel Oceana Santa Barbara is in a great location (fronts the ocean) and was a very pleasant stay. Older property but well maintained. Wi-fi easily available throughout and nice morning continental breakfast available. Everything in room comfortable and up to expectation - but it's not a luxury hotel and doesn't sell itself that way. Not far from State Street, the main thoroughfare - little bit of a hike although I hear there is a trolley but didn't use it. State Street has TONS of restaurants, bars and shopping. Also within walking distance to Stearns Wharf. I suspect that the rates are pricer during tourist season though. I certainly would stay there again. Hope this helps.

Great deal
A super comfy beds, decent free breakfast, and nice grounds (lawns, pool, etc), for I'd guess no more than 1/2 the price of nearby places. The room was really small, but I didn't go to Santa Barbara to sit in a room, rather to sleep in that room, and the bed was awesome. Only complaint is that we arrived after a long drive and rested in the room for a bit after arriving. They had apparently just cleaned and it smelled very strongly of bleach, to the point that it gave us both headaches. While it certainly proved that it was clean, maybe they could do without being so aggressive with the cleaners. The smell went away and the rest of the trip was great.

Location, Location, Location
Great property with plenty of outside space. Rooms lacked closets or any hooks to hang anything, but were very well appointed. New bathroom fixtures were poorly installed, so lots of loose handles on sinks and toilets.

Girls weekend
My friend and I needed a weekend away from our husbands. When we got there we asked if they had anything with two beds and they upgraded us. Then I asked if it had a view and she changed the room again, at no charge. We walked into the room and not only did it have a view, it had two seperate rooms. One with a King bed and the other with a lovely daybed. The bathroom was impeccable. All of this just by asking if there was anything else available. We would have been fine if she had said no, but, it doesn't hurt to ask and it was well worth it. The hotel is in an incredible location. My friend and I had mimosas one morning on one of the patio decks at the hotel overlooking the Pacific. It was great. We did partake in the continental breakfast one morning, it was your standard continental breakfast. We mostly ate on State Street. The hotel is beautiful, the staff was helpful and very friendly. A perfect weekend getaway with the girls...

ocean view and great service!
I was a little concerned prior to going to the Oceana, as I knew all the hotels raised their rates for this collage move in weekend, and did not know what to expect, but it really was a very nice sweet place, I think they saved the best room for me, full on ocean view, big room, nice beds, nice bathroom and my favortie bath & hair products. It was so peaceful and clean and very nice. the staff was very helpful with directions to the collage and for shopping and all the necessities I needed to move my son into the school. They were great! I would recommend it but wish it was less $$. I also know it was MORE money if I tried to get the room outside of this service. PS I spent two nights there, alone, and felt perfectly safe.

great location
The hotel was in a great location across from the pier. You could park your car and walk or take the trolley to downtown and many restaurants. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed. We had a junior suite and I liked that the second bed, a double, had its own small room. the hotel provided a continental breakfast which had fruit, danish,bagels, waffles which was enough to begin the day. I would recommend this hotel

We rented bikes for a few hours, the bike path was adjacent to the beach and went on for miles. Very easy with minimal hiles there were many many restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. We asked at the reception desk and were given several names

This hotel is across the street from the beach and Stern's wharf. Hotel seems a bit dated but clean and continental breakfast was adequate.
