by far-- the best option in the region
We stay at this hotel a couple of times each year when we go on fossil hunting expeditions with Mark Renz of Fossil Expeditions. The staff are always very courteous and the rooms are very clean, the lobby area is very comfortable and the swimming pool is always clean. However, over the years the breakfast that is served as part of "the deal" has gone from pretty good to pretty bad. I expect that this is due to "cost-saving" changes at the corporate level rather than at the local level and the hotel staff should not be held accountable for this. They have done the best with what they have to work with. In general, when one compares this hotel with the other options in a 30 mile radius, its the Four Seasons!

Short drive from hotel
The Mexican Restaurant El Pirate is pretty good! There are also a bunch of Taquerias and tortillarias in Arcadia that have sprang up in the last couple of years that I'm betting have some exceptional traditional mexican food.

Friday Night stay
We needed a hotel to stay at that wasn t to far from the Fair grounds and it worked out perfect.
