Wing it.
The experience at the hotel was all tipical. But there was a hotel next door for 1/2 the price. Do not know of it"s standards ,but I was trying to to find the cheapest stay in the Sebring area. So not sure if making resevations was a good idea.

Need a place to rest for the night?
Business in Arcadia. Great price! Clean, safe, friendly, easy to locate. A vacation Hotel, probably NOt. Need a quick stay over that is well priced? You can look no further. Get some sleep, get up & go!

All dining on Rt 70, less that 3 minutes from Hotel. Close to "downtown" Arcadia too. Window Air Conditioning...not the coldest (why comfort is a "3").

I'd rather stay in a tent.
We just needed a place to crash for the night during a road trip through Florida and this was the closest stop to our next destination. Being from out of state, we knew nothing about the area, and just wanted something cheap. Well, at $50/night, this place was not cheap, and we definitely didn't get our money's worth. - Incompetent staff at the front desk. - Dingy, old carpets, with who knows how many years of accumulated dirt and grime. - Old mattresses with no back support whatsoever paired with old bedding. - Dirty floor in the bathroom. - Fridge that didn't work, and yes, I checked to make sure it was plugged in. Don't let the name fool you; this is a MOTEL. I would never stay here again. I wouldn't even recommend my enemies to stay here. Absolutely gross.

The hotel was what I expected. We ended up booking a hotel not far enough in advance for an event that was taking place and ended up much further away then preferred. All in all, the hotel was satisfactory.

Not a bad place to lie your head down
It was a nice room and the owners were accomodating to our requests. The only thing I didn't like was~if you didn't let the housekeeping staff in (9-9:15am) they didn't come back to clean your room or leave clean towels. We had to ask for clean linnins or answer the door at 9:05am. We were on vacation and didn't always want to be waken or disturbed that early.

poor don't waist your money here
This hotel was adverised as being 16 miles from Lake Placid. The actual milage was 62 miles. too far from the requested area. The hotel turned out to be a roach infested hole. I booked for 2 nights. upon returning for the 2nd night, since it was non-refundable, the room was occupied by another guest. The mgnt. did get me another room after some time, however it was a major inconvience

AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!
I enjoyed plaing golf at 2 local courses. The people were friendly and the golf was reasonably priced. I attended MASS at the local Catholic Church and it was a very friendly church. There were a number of good and reasonably priced restaurants close by. The trip overall compared very well to others I have taken in the past.
