Great family hotel
This was our second stay at this hotel. It's perfectly situated for the excellent snorkelling and scuba diving in Key Largo. The boats leave from the marina right next to the hotel, or you can rent your own boat from the Pennekamp park 5 miles north. The tiki bar serves great bar food, and the kids love the pool and hot tub. For evenings, there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance, and plenty more within a five minute drive. Probably not much to do if it rains, but that's the Keys. For a weekend family break, it's ideal.

Short walk from hotel
The "mini-cruise" 3-location snorkelling trip with Key Diver Snorkelling Tours was excellent. The trip was about 4 hours, which might be a bit long for smaller kids, but for our 7 and 9 year olds it was perfect. Great fun, we saw a huge variety of fish on the coral reefs, plus the famous underwater Christ statue.

Bad Service and not clean
This hotel is a 2 star at best. The pools are nice but the bar Area is terrible with bad bartenders. [...] the bartender is rude and gives lots of dirty looks. The drinks are way overpriced and the pool side entertainment is terrible. Nothing fun all neal Young and worse. A pool should be fun and exciting. The bed was older and way too hard and lumpy not 3 star. The floors the dirty .Mold in the grout in the bathrooms. The hallway smelled like cat urine. Outside the hotel pirates choice is well worth the money and so is the glass bottom boat. Coconuts restaurant behind the hotel is terrible don't go. Sharky's is decent.

Bad Outdoor Service and Entertainment
the hotel was not very clean, the bathroom florrs have mold in the grout, yuk. the hall way smell musty. The bar tenders at the pool were very rude and they had high drink prices. The Day time pool entertainment was terrible. the artists constantly played wrong notes and very boring songs. for a pool resort you should have fun music. All there entertainers did was drink and play Neal Young and worse. The Bar tender [...]was very rude. she make lots of dirty faces. Worse bar tender I've met. no evening entertainment even on the weekends. the pirate choice sailboat is awesome and we highly recommend it. [...] is awesome. Coconuts right behind the hotel. is the worst restaurant, burnt food and terrible service. Evelyns just a few miles north is excellent. so is Mrs. Macs. just a little south. the fish house is also good for seafood.

Boogie's Hotel
We landed at MIA from Toronto, Canada at 3 p.m., and had a nice easy 1 hour drive in our rental to Holiday Inn at MM100, right beside Boogie's boat, "The African Queen". Room was standard Hol. Inn, and nice heated pool. Location is central Key Largo. Stayed only one night, before driving on to Key West.

Happy with our stay
We enjoyed the pool and eating at the hotel restaurant. Our child enjoyed hanging out there after our excursions. We rented a boat one day and snorkeled the other two. We highly recommend both of the snorkeling trips but our boat renting experiece was a disaster and cost more than the guided/outfitted snorkeling trips. The only negative was that the restaurant staff was not always fast and friendly. Some were and some were not.

Our winter holiday at the Holiday Inn!
Our previous experience with Holiday Inn Key Largo was limited to very good meals in their restaurant. We decided to stay there this year because of their reasonable rates, the pools, and the setting-very tropical vegetation, near the water. We were very pleased with our room and the proximity the Inn has to many great eateries, many within walking distance. The glass bottomed boat and fishing tour rentals were just next door and were great fun. We'll definitely stay there again. Use the coupon books for the many restaurants and read the reviews for a variety of great meals. We will definitely stay there again.
