Something for most
We arrived in Key West after office hours, however the staff left keys and room instructions along with dining recommendations for us in a drop box outside the office. The dining recommendations were most helpful. We tried a couple of them with good success. The room had nice amenities including a kitchenette with full size refrigerator. I don't have any complaints about the room whatsoever. My only comment is that the bed was not the most comfortable I've slept in however it was by no means uncomfortable either. Key West is a great destination and I'd highly recommend this accommodation. The location is fantastic. Parking is on street, however in this neighborhood that was not an issue. We went late April-early May which is near the end of the peak season.

Travelers watch out!
The airline screws up and gets us to the island a day late so we call the hotel at 9:00am the day of arrival and say we cannot be there till next day. No problem says the front desk and we arrive to enjoy two nights, not three. Problem was the boss ruled and charged us for 3 nights, even though we stayed for two, because we didn't give them 14 days notice!!! Don't think the airline knew that far in advance that their plane would have mechanical problems. Worse part of it was the boss sends a policy over email that was altered from what the website said, basically allowing them in their minds to steal $250 from me. Would not recommend this place, especially if traveling from afar and being at the mercy of the airlines, because all these people care about is money! I won't ever stay there again!!

Relaxing Trip
We live in Florida but had not been to Key West. The Island House is really nice. Located in Old town just a few short blocks from Duval St and the heart of the tourist attractions. On street parking is the order of the day in that part of the city, but it did not present a problem. Once you have parked you can walk to just about anywhere you want to go. We would stay at this hotel again.

Amazing stay!
We booked this hotel room at the last minute and we were pleasantly surprised by our stay. Each room has the tropical island ambiance with a sitting area, kitchen, and bedroom/bathroom. Our balcony was fantastic with a swing and adirondack chairs. The breakfast was satisfactory and lovely in the courtyard surrounded by trees, singing birds, and tropical flowers. The pool is very nice and not busy at all. We were a short walk from all things old town--close enough to walk everywhere and tucked away enough to avoid crowds and noise. We got great recommendations for restaurants and "must do" things in Key West. We would strongly recommend staying at the Island City House Hotel!

Pefect Place to stay in Key West
My girl friend and i took a quick weekend getaway to Key West this past weekend. We did all the tours and went to the Hemingway house and all the other points of interest. At night we partied and did it all again the next day. The hotel was awesome. literally like 3 short blocks from the heart of Duval (fat tuesdays/ the bull/ Sloppy joes, and the Ricks Compound.) The hotel staff was great with information and super friendly. They have bikes available to rent for $12 for 24 hours. We got 2 and were able to get everywhere in minutes. They have a free breakfast served in the morning in the center garden under the beautiful huge trees that shade the entire complex. Our room was large with a separate living room, kitchen, and bedroom. My girlfriend loved the pillows (very soft). There was a very nice pool in the garden as well, but avoided water activities on this trip. I was recommend this hotel by my sister and I Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Key West.

The Conch Train Tour is totally worth it. You get a vast amount of knowledge with a nice ride around the whole island. I'd skip the Shipwreck Museum. Not much to see and pretty boring.

Nice Place- Would return
We stayed in the Cigar House and it was very nice. The room was neat and clean. It was close to both the Harbor and Duvel which was nice for our stay. The pool is good size for Key West and had sun on it most of the day. Breakfast was ok, Bagels and Pastry. I would return again.

Great location close to Duval St and Mallory Square. The bed & breakfast was clean, with beautiful landscaping in a quiet setting. All the excitement was less than a mile away from the hotel.

Brief. Parking was little to none. Was close to Duval Street. Room was clean but basic. We had a deck with a hammock which was nice. If I were staying longer I would look for something different.

Excellent. The room, pool, location and court yard were beautiful and great. This was our 5th trip to Key West. We have done the Hyatt, Pier House, Ambassitor House.....this was by far the best. Do not know of a better place. Allen

Romantic/Charming Hotel
Unbelievable experience! Old world charm, new world amenities. My girlfriend an I had just completed the Miami to Key West Ragnar Ultra Relay event on Jan. 7, 2012. Checked into our hotel (arrived late, but the staff had taken care of getting our room ready for us), and absolutely fell in love with the place! Stayed in the Cigar House, 3rd floor. The hammock is a nice touch! Will we stay there again? Abso-freakin-lutely! For a week next time!

Duval Street is only a few short blocks away. Island City House is close enough to be convenient, yet far enough away that you don't have to deal with lots of drunk people and noise.
